NEVER SAY NEVER ...

OK, so most of you know that after Gracie Lou left I said that I wouldn't be doing interim care again because it was just to emotional for me ... Well, apparently God didn't hear me or is wanting to stretch me a little more ... So today I am introducing ALLY !!!! I would appreciate all your prayers for this adorable 5 week old little girl ... Pray for her mother, pray for sweet Ally, and pray for potential adoptive families ...

I know this is a God thing in our life right now because interim care has never even been on our radar and our agency has never had a need like they have had these past two weeks ... I am answering a call to cherish, pray, and get up all night long for a sweet gift of God ... I know it will be a blessing in our life and I also ask selfishly that you pray that God guard my heart this time and allow me to love without getting so attached ... Probably impossible so to my knees I go ...

Thanks so much for always encouraging me, praying w/ me and for NOT CALLING ME CRAZY (at least not in the comments section of my blog) ... lol

Girl, no one here thinks you're crazy! Honestly, I can't imagine what it must be like to be called to do such an emotional thing, but He is giving you the strength you need to care for this child and then let her go. Off to hit my knees for you. In case I didn't say it last time, thank you for doing this....you are exactly the person Ally needs right now.

This is unbelievable!! You get 2 sweet baby girls, and I'm still waiting. Praying for you again, my sweet friend. Go ahead and get attached - just like adding your children, it doesn't take away pieces of your heart; it only makes it bigger. (I'm not sure your body can hold a much bigger heart, but I'm willing to watch & see! :)

Gwen,

I love that you have another little one to hold in your arms and to speak about Jesus. I will pray for the Lord to protect your sweet heart in this...I know it must be so difficult. I wanted you to know that I could not figure out how to e-mail you from the blog, but would love to send you some information to post about the rally I am hosting...called Strolliing for Hope. I can give you more information via e-mail...it was fun to see you in Walmart the other day!

Gwen - I can think of lots of words that describe you and crazy is not one of them - beautiful, loyal, courageous, fathful, inspirational, kind, good, funny, amazing, humble, mommy, wife, daughter, honest - I could go on (and I don't even know you;) but you know you touch us. You know God is using you in so many arenas and we are blessed to call you friend. What an honor to pray for you as you take on the awesome responsibility. Ally is so fortunate to be loved on by your family and will no doubt receive only the best care!

Thank you for sharing these precious moments in your life.
Love,
Heather

Hi Gwen, I have a dear friend in South Africa who is a kangaroo mommy too!! It is such a gift from God!! She is an amazing lady and so are you. She looks after little ones between being born and being adopted, I gave her your blog to read, hope thats ok. Most of her babies are drug, rape or aids babies, so she deals with alot of babies going through withdrawals. And, she attaches to every single one of them and loves them as her own.
Will hold you in prayer see
Love Jules

Thank you for your kind words on my blog; I'm doing better today

You can't do what I'd like (have my mom and aunt back), so all I need from you and Scott is just your prayers for healing for our family, especially for the cousins (and my uncle that lost his wife of 57 years) that lost their mom after ours (who were very close, by the way)

Oh, Gwen, you are amazing. What a special gift you are giving to this child. I will pray that God guard your heart, as I am sure letting go has to be so hard.

I wanted to let you know we went to the SCC/MWS concert last night. One word: AWESOME!!! Come by and visit....
