WE MADE FOX NEWS
Phone rings at noon on Christmas day and Fox News wants to come out and do a story on Maggie's first Christmas (they saw article in paper). My house looks like a tornado has been through it from Christmas morn, I have bags for the shelter filling up the wreck room, and just the magnitude of the day for Maggie had me thinking twice, but I thought what if someone sees it and it causes them to think about adopting or giving to someone who is adopting ... SO WE SAID COME ON OVER ...Of the 2 hour visit this is what they got ... It was hilarious trying to share a serious story as the kids where acting like we were at the zoo.. Elijah wouldn't stop pushing the buttons on his Ben 10 watch, Emily was singing a song to High School Musical under her breath, Jeremiah wanted to look cool so he wouldn't sit up and Maggie didn't like how close we had to sit on the couch ... It was quite comical ... The funniest part they cut (thank goodness) .. Jeremiah told how we had to get rid of our dog so we could bring Maggie home ... I almost peed in my pants ... Hope you enjoy the story ... Love You All and hope you had a great Christmas !!!! Click on the title to go to the video.

Oh this video touched my heart, Gwen. I know it will touch someone else as well and will ultimately lead someone to adopt. You never know who was watching that needed that extra push to go forward with adoption. I remember when our local NBC station did our adoption story, several families called the station and now they have daughters from China!God is so good and He will use your story to further the work for His kingdom. It was so nice to hear your family rather than just seeing pics. :)
Your family is just precious. Love to you all.

Gwen, I've been following your blog for a while now -- friend of Lindsey's. I can't believe how much you've been through since just before Thanksgiving; know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. Thanks for this fantastic testimony to the small graces all around us. Maybe someone else will see them in your story.

That is a great news story with an inspiring family. Thanks for sharing your family fame with us. You guys did a great job.
They did a wonderful job! I had to laugh out loud at the girls having the wiggles all over the couch!
So, so precious.
What a GREAT news clip! It didn't look at all like you were at the zoo! The girls look so at home and comfortable and the love pouring out of you both is tangible.
Love you sweet Gwen and am praying for you ~ Tiff
I left a long comment the other day on this post. I hope it went through. I am checking in to see if Maggie's package arrived yet? Is it there yet? Is it there yet? I am going nuts!!!!lol I want to know if she likes it and if her gift fits... I want to know if it brought a smile to her face... priority mail is a crock! lol
Watching that video was the first time I'd realized how close we live to you! I am in Clayton, and my kids are 12 (girl), 10 (boy), 4 (adopted girl from china) and 2 (adopted son from china). I think we're about 30 minutes away if you ever want to meet and comiserate ;)... we are also Christians, and my two from China are heart-babies.
Peace,
The Shuey 6
You all are going to become local stars before too long.
Cried thru the whole thing (surprise, surprise!)
LOVE LOVE LOVE the heart of your entire family...
Big hugs from us to you.

I came across your video clip on another site and realized that I have your adoption blog bookmarked on my own blog for others to read and enjoy. It is amazing how things come full circle. I loved the "We wish you a Merry Christmas" song. You have an adorable family and it is easy to see all the love floating around in your house.
