Big Brother Gives In To Little Sister !!!

My Jesus Calling (by Sarah Young) today talks about in the midst of a problem that is important to not always work furiously at trying to get out of it, but use the situation as a tutor and learning possibilities are limitless at growing your faith. Once you are thankful for the situation it loses its power over you. By no means am I say my situation is a problem, but as I read the devo it spoke to me in a different way. So many people ask how things are going and I always respond, "There are good days and bad days, but I think Maggie is doing great." Most people always respond kindly ... such as "This will pass, Just give her time, or One day you will forget this difficult time." But after reading today's devo, I want to embrace the day whatever it may be, I want to never forget my sweet daughter's cries of confusion and sadness, I want to teach my kids something about the Lord as we tackle the day together, and I don't want to focus on the future when we are not promised a tomorrow ...

I know I have said this a lot, but your sweet words are overwhelming and the love does not go unused ... I have to desperately move the thought out of my head that I need to give back to you, to respond to all the amazing comments, or to make you feel as full as you make my spirit feel each day ... This is my SEASON to need others and I APPRECIATE you!!!!

hi gwen,

do not worry about giving back!! you already give the world the greatest gift by being a living witness of God's love through the love you pour out into your children. it is a gift to help pray you through your days as you show the love of Christ to those God has given to you.

we will have all of eternity to share in the perfect love of God!! in the meantime, know that we are all united in the body of Christ.

with love,
your friend

Oh, Gwen, if you only knew.... Yes, you are correct, you do not need to give back to us.... but oh, how you do. With each post as you share your beautiful family, your faith, the faithfulness of Jesus and your sweet, strong, precious spirit you minister to each and every one who visits. As we lift up your precious daughter Maggie and her family in prayer we are blessed... as we see our prayers honored and answered by the Father who loves us unconditionally we are blessed... you just can't help it... you are a blessing to us. If there is anything I can ever do please know that I am here. And thank you for letting me share in this most beautiful journey of love, hope and healing in your precious Maggie's life. She has stolen my heart and I am thankful for I will never be the same....
Maggie's package is in the mail. I sent it out today. Hopefully 2-3 days. Please let me know what you and your beautiful princess thinks...
Merry Christmas dear friend.
May God's blessings continue to rain down upon you.
Love, Daleea

Do you not understand that you are giving back by being such an incredible example. I am in awe of you Gwen. I come here everyday hoping for some new light to shine on me and challenge me. I want to tell you that Maggie's adoption has changed me as a woman, I am a better person and I will be a better mother to my daughter when she comes by knowing you. So, thank you for challenging me in so many ways and helping me to grow and showing me what real courage is.

You really do give back, Gwen. You open your family to all of us in Bloggerland and share you thoughts and feelings. I can't think of a better way to give back. Don't worry about not responding on our blogs; it's not necessary. We're just glad to hear about you and your family. All of us love you and your family.

May you have a blessed Christmas and a safe and joyous New Year's.

During this time of year many people get presents that they think are the best ever, but just to let you know you got the greatest gift of all...Maggie...

Are you keeping a journal? If not, you might want to start one. It will be a blessing for Maggie when she gets older to see where she came from and where she is today. Who knows, maybe you might write a book about your journeys that your family has been on. =] It would definitely be a blessing and encouragement for others to read. =]
Continually praying,
Kim
