Oatsvall Update !!!

Just thought it would be fun to give you all an update on the Oatsvall Team !!! I feel like we are in a transitioning phase about every 9 months ... growing out of clothes, needing to clean out toys/trinkets, weeding through mounds of school paperwork and artwork, emerging independence in different areas of their life, and the list goes on and on ... My precious growing family is doing just that - GROWING UP ...

Jeremiah is 13 yrs old and completely amazes me every day w/ his ability to communicate and care for others ... He is fun to be around and I love to watch his growing heart for orphans ... I can see how he is changing others around him as they watch our family and join our crazy life ... I see hearts open to serving the least of these because of the impact he is having on his friends ... He is starting his 7th grade AAU season next week and I love love love watching him play basketball ...

His current prayer request is for another brother and trips back to Uganda and Honduras  !!!

Elijah is 9 years old and definitely the FIRE CRACKER in the house ... His red hair is a dead give away to the millions of crazy emotions and creative imagination he shares with us daily ... He is a great friend and loves life every day ... He has been asking to wrestle since he was in Kindergarten and I think we may finally let him ... No matter if we are sitting on the couch after a long day, out to dinner w/ the family or in a 3rd world country, he has a MILLION questions to ask ... I don't see how his mind can be that full of questions, but it is ... His sweet sweet smile is to die for ... He has such a tender heart and always wants to make sure everyone is included in whatever is going on (except when he is fighting w/ Emily ... hee hee) ... The more the merrier is Elijah's philosophy !!!

His current prayer request is for a twin brother and as many Bey Blades as he can get !!!

Emily is 7 years old (going on 16) ... The girl is completely a MINI ME ... She has a little OCD in her just like her mama ... She likes things in their place and she wants everyone to OBEY the rules (makes for a tough life in our house ... hee hee) ... She is loving 1st grade and playing on her first basketball team ... I think she will end up being a cheerleader, but we are trying a few things right now just for fun ... We are about to move Daisy/Maggie into one room, so that Emily can have her own space for a while ... I am taking Emily w/ me next week to our conference in IL for a little mommy/daughter time ... She is the biggest help and loves to play MOMMY to her babies ...

Her current prayer request is for a infant baby sister and to go to Uganda !!!

Maggie is having a super fun, goofy, and amazing K year ... She is even getting in a bit of trouble in her class for being so funny, talking to much, and being a bit mischievous.  Her sweet teacher adores her and we have talked so much about how my precious butterfly is flying high and enjoying life right now ... She has NO more surgeries in the near future and our Vandy trips are now only once every 3 months ... I feel like she is really flying high right now in her life ... She has precious friends and so many amazing people in her life that give her the confidence to LOVE life ... She makes me smile everyday with what she has overcome and how she is thriving ... She makes us all laugh at home ... She is by far the funniest OATSVALL in the house ...

Her prayer request is to go WHEREVER I go and to go back to Disneyland (just being honest here.. lol)

Joseph is 5 years old and astounds me each day with his effort to communicate ... I can't wait to one day understand what he has to say ... He has the most precious prayer at the dinner table and I know the LORD loves his sweet voice ... We have added two Speech Therapies a week to the other aid he is receiving ... Everyone who works with him simply adores his SMILE and giggle ... He makes you feel HAPPY just being in his presence ... He has recently taken on the LOVE of basketball ... He loves to watch his brothers/sister play and most of all he likes to put on a uniform and sit on the bench w/ Scott ... He plays nerf basketball all day at home ... And one day he will have his own team to play on...

I have NO idea what his prayer request are, but the LORD hears him clearly !!!

Daisy is 4 years old and has really settled into the family concept over the last 6 months ... She loves going to school at FRA w/ her bros/sisters ... She is 100% all girl ... We have bought the store out in hair bows and clasps lately because she wants a new hair style daily and it has been fun to play around w/ that for her ... She is one picky eater and drives us up the wall with her loud squeaky screams ... hee hee ... You won't ever forget she is in the house ... She has a natural flair for dance and song ... I love to catch her dancing and singing a praise and worship song when she doesn' think I am looking ... so fun !!! She is my DAISY GIRL !!!

Her prayer request is that I will buy more gatorade and to have a baby sister !!!

Scott and I are doing great and just enjoying the chaotic pace of life ... We are speaking up about the things of the LORD whether it is at work, on the courts, at church, in the grocery store, or on a stage ... God has given us an amazing platform to be his hands and feet and it is so FUN and the biggest blessing to be serving together ...

thanks for following our crazy chaotic fun life !!! and for helping us spread the mission of 147 Million Orphans ... I pray I can inspire and encourage you the way you bless me !!!
