Today Is The Day To Decide ...

Today is the perfect day to DECIDE I am going to love on an orphan ... Today I am going to fill out paperwork to bring MY child home to their forever family ... Today is the day I am going to sponsor a child ... Today I am going to contact my local children's shelter and find out how I can help ... Today I am going to spend less and give more ...

Seriously, every day we don't do something is one more day a child is lonely, abandoned, scared, hungry, and without hope !!! If you are reading this and saying "wow, what a guilt trip" then I would say NOT GUILT BUT TRUTH !!!

19 kind words.:

Great call to action Gwen!

Our pastor this past Sunday preached on Matt 25:31-46... setting the tone for 2010, calling the church body into action... What's the difference btwn the sheep and the goats that are talked about in this passage... the goats do nothing for the least of these whereas the sheep have the behavior of their shepard, caring for the least of these!

Oh that our hearts maybe more in line with the Father's daily!

Yes! Agree so much! Praying this post helps someone who's been thinking about helping sponser or even adopt, decide to finally do it! Thanks for these kind of posts!

AMEN!
We just received word that our adoption (Ethiopia) finally went through after many long uncertain months, and I'm currently trying to prepare a presentation for my church about adoption. I am struggling with guilt vs. truth. How do I present the information so that people feel COMPELLED to help the plight of orphans, not guilted into it. That is what I am struggling with. I am just praying that their hearts will be touched.
