I am BEAUTIFUL, I am SMART, I am PRECIOUS, I am STINKER !!
These are the words I have had Maggie recite to me everyday since she came home and could speak English " I am BEAUTIFUL, I am SMART, I am PRECIOUS, I am STINKER" (she giggles at the stinker part).. I want her to know that God created so much in her as HIS CHILD than just her burn ... I want her to feel all the gifts and talents given to her from the FATHER.... She is doing so incredibly well ... She amazes me in her strength and attitude... Not sure if you can see, but she has two expanders in (1 on the side of her head and one in the back) ... All her stitches come out Monday (won't that be fun) and they will start inflating the expanders in a couple of weeks ... There are times I look at her and just start crying because it seems like such a long road ahead of her and her head looks to me like it should hurt so bad, but then she calls my name w/ that adorable voice she has and I just melt ... WE LOVE YOU MAGGIE !!! MY GIRL MAKES BALD LOOK AMAZINGLY CUTE !!!
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for the meals, the gift cards, and the amazing hats & scarves you have sent for her ... We will try to do a fashion show for you soon with all her new head dresses !!!

What a beautiful, brave girl! I cherish children's perspective on things....so I am bald, now, so what? It is still me! Jesus gives us that gift of loving ourselves unconditionally (and our neighbors!), but we seem to lose that as we age. Get that feeling that being naked (physically or emotionally) is bad....but to our Beloved, it is beautiful. Thank you for the reminder, and praying for your amazing daughter who knows who she is....Maggie....who is loved by her Savior!!!!

Amazing,Gwen! Maggie's surgery looks great actually. You have an excellent surgeon that's for sure!! Maggie is one of my Little Heros. I'm very proud of her. She truly has been through so much in her short life. Much more than I've endured. Please give her a hug from my Anna and me.
