GO NOW, BE PREPARED TO BE WRECKED

KISSESFROMKATIE.BLOGSPOT.COM ... I sit here working on Amazima stuff for Katie and feel helpless to actually DO - feed a starving child, love a child who has no parents, heal their wounds, or just read to one of the Karomajong children about Jesus ... I know I am where I am suppose to be working from the computer for Amazima, telling people about Katie's journey, and watering the seeds she plants, but there are days when I want to be on the ground in Africa TOUCHING THE FACE OF JESUS ...

Be WRECKED w/ me won't you ...

Heart to Heart Sisters ...

I have spent the week rejoicing and thanking the Lord for His provisions in our adoption journey and we are beyond thankful for our children and so ready to travel, yet I have some hurting sisters ... I have two sisters desperate to travel and yet THEY HEAR NOTHING ... They look at pictures of their children every day, they have rooms ready, clothes bought, and arms empty.

I want all who visit my blog to take a moment and lift up all the waiting families and their children, who sit in orphanages waiting ... I wonder do these children know they have families coming, praying, longing for them, and excited or do they just sit thinking no one is coming ... These images takes me down the road to the 147 Million Orphans, who are waiting and saying PICK ME to love, to feed, to adopt, to sponsor, or to pray for ... My heart's desire is to make a difference in this number ...

Just an update on the family:

Jeremiah is in 5th grade and loving going to school with Scott everyday ... Scott said Jeremiah came up and hugged him every time he saw him in the halls and just said how glad he was to be at school w/ his dad ... This makes my heart melt and I feel so proud that Scott has chosen a profession where he can be with our kids on a daily basis while they are in school ...

Elijah and I went to first grade together on his first day ... He held my hand all the way into his new school, through the halls, and into his new class ... He loves that Scott can come visit during lunch ... You have no idea how peaceful it is for me to have them all on the same campus.

Emily has decided that she isn't playing any sports, no dancing, no tumbling, not having babies, and she is never getting married ... She wants to live at home with Scott and I forever ... It is hilarious when the boys try to explain that one day she will change her mind and she just puts her hands on her hips and says NO WAY ...

Maggie still doesn't go to bed before midnight on most days, but she is sleeping through the night once asleep. Many people have commented that she seems so much happier and at peace in her life and WE TOTALLY AGREE ... she loves to talk (really loud I might add) and would prefer to be in a princess dress all day every day !!! She goes back to the doctor in September for check-up and surgery again in December ...

Please keep praying for Joseph and Daisy in Uganda ...

Her Name ...DAISY

When I got the call from Amani about a daughter last week, we were beyond elated, yet knew we had to wait for a formal referral and some paperwork to be completed. There was no guarantee she would be ours, so I guarded my heart and try to pretend she wasn't there. I was going to get my son and someday our daughter would be revealed. I wouldn't say I was disappointed about God not having her ready for me to come get, but I felt incomplete. There was this slight lack of peace, but yet, I wanted to be obedient to God's timing. And then today, I get a call that all the papers are ready and she is ours and her name is DAISY ... I almost missed it and then it completely swept over me, how God was confirming our journey to Uganda, how He was saying come get your daughter, He is pleased with our journey and the message on this journey to others .... There are thousands of people wearing a DAISY on their chest from our t-shirts. You purchased a shirt to help us bring our children home and God sealed it today with our daughter ...SHE IS DAISY and you all helped bring her home, you have been spreading the news about the 147 Million other orphans, and you have walked hand in hand with us .... DAISY WILL BE HER NAME and we are working on the Abigail part ... I am just sitting here in tears thinking that God would send us such a clear and unmistakable message .... ONE THAT YOU ALL GET TOO EXPERIENCE WITH US ....

I am not sure I know how to end this post .... HER NAME IS DAISY ... can you believe that and she was abandoned approximately 6 months ago when I started the designing process of the DAISY (you love the orphan, you love the not?) .... WHAT CAN I SAY .... She just turned 2 and HER NAME IS DAISY ...

Her custody papers have been Fed Exp (can you say busy, busy, busy day) and I am asking you all to pray that her custody papers will be signed soon, so I can get a new affidavit with both Joseph and Daisy's name on it and it won't delay our travel to much ... MY CHILDREN NEED TO COME HOME .... Lord, you are perfect in every way and YOU ARE GOD NO MATTER WHAT ...

I will leave you with this ... HER NAME IS DAISY !!!! (no pictures yet)

WE HAVE A DAUGHTER !!!!

Got a call today that we have a daughter !!!!! I just filled out the custody papers and Fed Exp them to Uganda today ... Not sure how much information I can share yet, but she is two years old and when you find out her given name you will be saying ONLY GOD ... I don't even have a picture of her yet, and we are absolutely in love with her already !!!! So much in my head and heart right now about God's perfect timing, His provisions, His will for our life and our children's life .... I am sorta of walking around my house in circle right now with that giddy feeling, like I can't even think of what to do next !!!! hee hee !!! can't wait to find out what size she is, if she knows her brother,Joseph, how much hair does she have, and of course praying a picture comes soon !!!!!

Hope to have more later !!!!

School is starting, Scott is back to getting up really early for school, we are off to football scrimmage for Jeremiah right now, Elijah is counting down the minutes till his buddy ice cream social tomorrow and Emily and Maggie are fighting over where their little sister will sleep ... I LOVE MY LIFE !!!!

God is God NO MATTER WHAT ...

Tread with me won't you into some muddy waters ... This post my be a bit foggy and I don't have time to really finish it nor is my heart done pondering it ....

God is God NO MATTER WHAT ....

Even if I lose my house
Even with children dying of starvation
Even with 3500 homeless people just 10 minutes down the road from me
When I lose my job
When my only car dies
When my parents are sick
When a mother with AIDS gives it to her children
When children become sex slaves
When there is no food in the cupboard
When my child dies
When I lose your way in life
When I have no money
When I live in a dirt hut
When I have no family
When I have no earthly name
When I can't see tomorrow
When the phone doesn't ring
When that someone doesn't love me
When my spouse leaves
When my children leave
When there is no insurance
When there is no water
When I am blind
When I am lame
When I am dying

I could go on and on, but since our sermon the past Sunday, I have let God out of the box I put Him that makes me feel comfortable and safe ... There is suffering and THERE IS GOD, so what does that mean for me ??? It means I have to learn to need only God !!! Wow, now some of you may be like, well of course that is it you silly woman, but even though I know THAT I am not sure I live like THAT ... I honestly have never imagined myself in the full emotions of being homeless, hungry, deathly sick, and can't imagine living a life of real suffering that many people in this world live ... I have to stop here, because that is as far as I have gotten on how to process this ... I will let you know how God reveals Himself to me as I process .... GOD IS GOD NO MATTER WHAT

We had two great day of sales with our new orphan awareness product and probably made enough to feed a few children for year ... I am overwhelmed with the response and how this ministry can impact so many children in Africa and help families here adopt ... God use us !!! Site is almost done ... check out the progress at 147millionorphans.com

A Movement! Helping You Help 147 Million

I want you to picture this with me ... As God continues to guide us on our new journey with 147millionorphans.com. He has guided us in our mission to helping families raise money for their adoptions by creating and selling products to them at wholesale, to bring light to the darkness of the orphan crisis through education and knowledge. The FATHER has revealed something to me that I hesitate to share because it seems so unreal, big, and beyond my own capacity, but then again my SAVIOR is in the IMPOSSIBLE business !!!! So I am going to share a vision with you and you can pray along with me and join in on the craziness ... A MOVEMENT - I know that families could design their own t-shirt and sell them for a fundraiser, I know people can go to Gap or Old Navy and get a cool shirt, and you could just run in Target and pick up someone a t-shirt for their birthday OR WE COULD DECIDE WE ARE GOING TO SAY SOMETHING SIGNIFICANT AS A WHOLE BODY/GROUP/FAMILY and plant seeds about orphans where ever we go.

Here is the dream God gave me ... A woman living in Iowa goes to her local grocery store and sees the 147 million orphan shirt, and then next week on her way to see her parents in Kentucky she sees the 147 million orphan shirt, and later that month on her vacation in Florida, she sees the 147 million orphan shirt, which then is a seed planted and watered twice ... CAN'T YOU JUST SEE THE CHANGE WE COULD MAKE IF WE ARE ALL PLANTING SEEDS .... More adoptions, more children sponsored, more foster kids brought into homes, more orphans loved with supplies needed, more mission trips to orphanages, more churches loving on our local children's shelter ... THE POSSIBILITY IS ENDLESS WHEN YOU SERVE A POSSIBLE GOD ...

When the new line comes out next week, you will see we have attached a REAL purpose for purchasing our products - we will be feeding as many children as possible in the Karomajong tribe in Uganda, Africa. This is a group of nomadic children (numbering approx. 1200) that live in the hills near Katie and she has started feeding all of them daily ... Suzanne and I have decided to donate to the feeding of these children with each of your purchases ... Example - purchasing a t-shirt will feed a child for 2 weeks, purchasing our new Orphan Bag will feed a child for 3 months, Magazine Bead necklaces will feed a child for 2 weeks, etc .... WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE WHEN WE ALL STAND TOGETHER ...

Thanks for letting me share my heart with you all .... I am excited to see what God does with this new journey and venture !!!

If you are interested in placing a wholesale order for your adoption Fundraiser then stay tuned next Monday when I post the products here and will be making the order Tuesday night ...

Blue Skys and Green Cash and a little DRAMA!!!!

God was so gracious to hold the rain off for the entire two days of the garage sale and we cleared $2300 ... I am truly overwhelmed by the number, but more than that I am honored to have all those who donated items, to Katie Jo, Ondrea, Angel, Curry, and Anna for their help in making this possible ... I can't tell you how many times I got to share the story of adoption the past two days and how I was able to explain that the journey we take is one we NEVER take alone ... God has truly sent an amazing village of people, all with different talents to help us reach our financial goals, lift us up in prayer, give us godly counsel, and so much more ... It has been a perfect picture of the BODY OF CHRIST ... I wish I had pictures of the super chaotic craziness of the garage sale (literally could have opened a store), but I was to busy taking in the cash to take pictures ... hee hee

Added a little picture of the crash site from Wednesday !!!! Seriously, we live a very unexpected freaky life here in the Oatsvall house ...
