Heart to Heart Sisters ...
I have spent the week rejoicing and thanking the Lord for His provisions in our adoption journey and we are beyond thankful for our children and so ready to travel, yet I have some hurting sisters ... I have two sisters desperate to travel and yet THEY HEAR NOTHING ... They look at pictures of their children every day, they have rooms ready, clothes bought, and arms empty.
I want all who visit my blog to take a moment and lift up all the waiting families and their children, who sit in orphanages waiting ... I wonder do these children know they have families coming, praying, longing for them, and excited or do they just sit thinking no one is coming ... These images takes me down the road to the 147 Million Orphans, who are waiting and saying PICK ME to love, to feed, to adopt, to sponsor, or to pray for ... My heart's desire is to make a difference in this number ...
Just an update on the family:
Jeremiah is in 5th grade and loving going to school with Scott everyday ... Scott said Jeremiah came up and hugged him every time he saw him in the halls and just said how glad he was to be at school w/ his dad ... This makes my heart melt and I feel so proud that Scott has chosen a profession where he can be with our kids on a daily basis while they are in school ...
Elijah and I went to first grade together on his first day ... He held my hand all the way into his new school, through the halls, and into his new class ... He loves that Scott can come visit during lunch ... You have no idea how peaceful it is for me to have them all on the same campus.
Emily has decided that she isn't playing any sports, no dancing, no tumbling, not having babies, and she is never getting married ... She wants to live at home with Scott and I forever ... It is hilarious when the boys try to explain that one day she will change her mind and she just puts her hands on her hips and says NO WAY ...
Maggie still doesn't go to bed before midnight on most days, but she is sleeping through the night once asleep. Many people have commented that she seems so much happier and at peace in her life and WE TOTALLY AGREE ... she loves to talk (really loud I might add) and would prefer to be in a princess dress all day every day !!! She goes back to the doctor in September for check-up and surgery again in December ...
Please keep praying for Joseph and Daisy in Uganda ...

I'm so happy that your kiddos can be with their daddy during the day at school. I love my hubby's elementary school job. I'll miss my Mr. Mom when MI goes back to school after labor day. Praise GOD Maggie is finally sleeping through the night (even if it's late bedtime). You and I will always have a bond over night terrors and our little sweeties. I can't wait to follow your journey to Uganda. Hugs!!
Hey sista, I'm up too.... :)
Yes, I can attest that Maggie is a chatter-box now!
I wanna go swim, I wanna go swim, I wanna go swim, I wanna go swim, I wanna go swim, I wanna go swim!
Bringing your chair tomorrow, got an idea or two on how we can pimp it up too! :)
LOVE ya!

Dear Gwen,
Thanks for all you are sharing and doing. I read Katie's blog and the 147 Million Orphans page. Are there 147 million orphans in Uganda? or in the world? I suppose Uganda, because there are 6 billion people in the world and a high percentage are orphans, I'm sure. We are both unemployed and do a skateboard ministry here in Montana, so the only thing I'm doing right now is sharing these webpages and blogs with my facebook friends. Take care and go with God's strength. ~Lynne
