Three Post In One ...

My first post is Proud Mama moments ... Sunday as the pastor talked about the economy and Man's view versus God's view I wasn't sure what Jeremiah understood, but he came home and took his birthday money out and put a percentage in Abigail and Joseph's money jar ... I was so proud because you see he is saving all his money in hopes of traveling to Uganda with me to pick up his brother and sister ... I desperately want my children to look into the eyes of people in need both here and abroad ... I want them to be love to someone who is hurting ... And secondly, today I get an email from Elijah's teacher and she ask each child in class "So today is the luckiest day of your life, what would you do?" and Elijah said, "I would bring Abigail and Joseph home." ... Can you see me crying at my computer ... It was such a blessing on my day !!! Thank you Lord for boys, who I know will share Christ with Joseph and teach him how to be a warrior for Christ !

My second post is about the movie THE EXPRESS (Story of Ernie Davis) ... This is a really good movie about a man's character. It is rated PG, but does have some very bad language that shocked me for a PG movie ... There was a point in the movie that had me thinking, well actually I think about this all the time, but I will paraphrase, "If you are going to be spending the next 4 years w/my grandson and speaking into his life, WHAT KIND OF MAN ARE YOU?" ... I am constantly trying to be aware of the people in my children's life and how they might influence them ... I am so honored with the coaches that Jeremiah has had in his life and now Elijah also as he begins to play ball and swim ... We have purposefully made sure the boys have had men of character, men of integrity, and men who love the Lord ... You can never be to careful with who is influencing your children and it is a full time job to make sure those speaking into their life are speaking biblical truths and not opinions ... Our pastor and the staff at our church do a great job with providing godly men role models !!! I am especially thankful for Scott and how he purposefully teaches the boys about Christ in everything he does as father ... He is the best dad and very intential at spending time w/ his children. Now he is coaching both the boys in basketball ... I can't tell you the peace I have as my boys walk out the door to go to practice or games ... Now don't get me wrong I sometimes have to reel Scott in when the competitve side rears its head, but he always encourages and pushes the boys to do their best !!! Thank You Lord for sending people in our life to help us show Christ to our children !!!

My third post is simply to direct you to my friend Ondrea's blog, because her post blew me away ... I never doubt how God will provide the way for my children to come home from Uganda, but I am always awed and get a little giddy and humbled by how He does it ... His handprint was all over our adoptions of Emily and Maggie ... It was like fireworks going off, saying LOOK WHAT I (GOD) AM DOING ... God never ceases to amaze me and I am humbled that He is parting the seas for our journey !!!!

2 Corinthians 8:13-15
"Our desire is not that others might be relieved while you are hard pressed, but that there might be equality. At the present time your plenty will supply what they need, so that in turn their plenty will supply what you need. Then there will be equality, as it is written: "He who gathered much did not have too much, and he who gathered little did not have too little."

That shows your kids have such amazing hearts...wow.
Hey, I still want to get together soon! Are you by any chance going to pick up the Mayernicks or see them at the airport? Or do you know when they get in? If you're going I'd love to meet you there or something.
