LOOK TO THE RIGHT ... LITERALLY !!!

I am asking anyone who reads my blog to please consider placing Katie's Button on their sidebar ... There are so many people both young and older who need to read her journey. You need to see how God took a 17 year old girl and placed her in Uganda to do HIS mighty work. This was a girl who had never really considered life on the mission field just knew God called her to love children ... She goes to Uganda and God says, "YOU ARE HOME, NOW BEGIN MY WORK." ...She is now mother of 9 children and provides for 191 children to go to school, get 2 hot meals a day, and get medical care and she does that w/ the help of people like me and you ...

But my encouragement is for you to go back to the beginning of her blog and make it a daily journal till you read it all ... Read about how she rid a family of scabies, took bananas/water to the hospital and ended up delivering a baby, cut the head off of chickens to feed her family, nursed a dying child back to life only to have her mother reject her again, and so much more ... IT WILL BE THE BEST BOOK YOU HAVE EVER READ ... And it all really happened ...

It is encouraging to me to see such a young woman w/ reckless abandon follow our Lord and Savior to the Least of These ...

This is what the season is all about it ... GIVING AND GIVING ...

Thanks for always understanding my heart ... Love to you all this week !!!

suppose I knew somebody, who didn't know how to add that little badge to their blog without having the code, cause they are just NOT that blog savy. Just curious, for their sake, what advice would you give them? Hypothetically speaking of course.

And I am going to start reading her blog this weekend. I seriously CANNOT wait.

hugs!

I love reading all of these inspiring stories! I do have one poem that I wrote a few years ago that is about a girl who was adopted. She was one of my students. It's about how she has had 3 mothers...but the adoptive mother was the "real" one...the one that loved her till the end. She lost her last mother at the end of the semester when I was teaching her. I'll send you the poem, and a little tidbit about Joy (my student's name) if you'd like.

Read it daily? When you first told us about it, I read the whole blog is one sitting. I couldn't "put it down".

Katie is an amazing example of an ordinary woman, completely sold out to our Extraordinary God.

I've started reading, Gwen!
What an awesome story, what an awesome life sold out to Jesus!
I am so determined to spend these last days leading up to Christmas focused on the Savior. Reading that blog will be an exciting part of my plan.
Thanks for sharing,
Robbie
