GET READY TO BE BLESSED ... JESUS CALLING DEVO BY SARAH YOUNG, TUESDAY, JULY 15TH
Don't worry about tomorrow! This is not a suggestion, but a command. I divided time into days and nights, so that you have manageable portions of life to handle. My grace is sufficient for you, but its sufficiency is for only one day at a time. When you worry about the future, you heap day upon day of troubles onto your flimsy frame. You stagger under this heavy load, which I never intended you to carry.
Throw off this oppressive burden with one quick thrust of TRUST. Anxious thoughts meander about and crisscross in your brain, but trusting Me brings you directly into My Presence. As you thus affirm you faith, shackles of worry fall off instantly. Enjoy My Presence continually by trusting Me at all times.
Matt 6:34 "Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble." (Sisters, isn't that the truth ... We have plenty to focus on today)
2 Cor 12:9 "And He said to me, 'My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness,' Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. "
The way we have been placed in each other's life is no mistake ... We have been sent to encourage one another and give godly counsel ... Thanks for always being there and keeping my head, heart, and eyes pointed to Christ ...

Thank you sooo much...
You always have the right words at the right time..
HUGS..
Feeling happy and blessed to walk through TODAY with you, Gwen, and all!!!
I just finished reading mine before I logged on the computer. Mercy! It was written just for me today. I am always worried about tomorrow. I loved what it says about iyr days being structured to only carry a little at a time! Amen to the Same Kind of Different post also. I started a post about this book last week and could not come up with all that I wanted to say about it. I think I'll just post it and say "What she said!" Have a great day!
Nice to Meet you!!!!!! Glad to know we are in this together now! ; )
no girl...thank you! It is perfect for my day too....love ya and thank you so much for your call this morning. I'll keep you posted!
Hugs,
Steffie
This is a perfect post for me to read today. We dont know what tomorrow will bring, but we do have today with the Lord by our side.
I love this so glad I read it today..
oh how I needed this.
You rock!
The gift that keeps on giving- I was so blessed by this entry. I put it on mine today as well. :)
I had heard you talk about this devotional book once and when I saw them on sale I bought a few of them as gifts. I read mine this morning, and it was perfect for my day! I don't think I am much of a worrier, but the last few days, I have been a little anxious. Not sure about what...when I read the devotional this morning, it was the reminder that I needed to only concentrate on today. It has come back to me all day. Funny how God speaks to us right when we need Him to. Funny how we all need to hear the same things at the same times every once in a while. I think that's why I like checking on each other through these blogs. I'm thankful we can share the good times and the times that we need prayers, also. Love you girl! Thanks for sharing, Shawnah
Amen and Amen!!! Oh boy...I am telling you...this bond we all share here is unbreakable...unsinkable...and timeless....therefore...I plan to have each and everyone of you as my neighbors in heaven one fine day!!!
Oh yea!!!
Thank you for posting this today....I LOVE my Jesus Calling book!!! IT absolutely gives me the words I need for every ~single~ day! AMAZING!
Love you tons!!!!
Gwen,
I bought this a while back when you recommended it but I will admit that I missed this one today and I could NOT have needed it more. We are contemplating a BIG decision that will domino into several others and today I was feeling so overwhelmed by all that might lie ahead. I read this, took a deep breath and am focusing one one day at a time.
Thank you.
Kim
You and Emily are on the same page today. Thanks for sharing...we ALL could use that one. See you Friday, kristi
Hi, I stumbled upon your site indirectly from Faithful Froggers. I love your update and it really spoke to my heart as my daughter could be facing another brain surgery and I'm terribly worried about the situation.
Thank you :-)
Take care, Sherri

Hi Gwen,
I just wanted to make sure you saw this... I'm not sure if you've read Bring the Rain, but I'm guessing you have. Angie is starting a bible study at her house. Just FYI.

Hi Gwen,
I bought Jesus Calling last night, even after just one devo I am blown away...I am compiling a list of people to give this too...I need another $5 sale!
We need to get together and talk shop, I have 2 buyers...

Hi Gwen,
Oh, how I love this book. So many days, the devotional seems as if it has been handpicked by God that day just for ME!
And no doubt it was. : )
have a great week-end, Gwen!
Can you please say prayers for me? My friend and I are leaving for Vegas in the morning...just pray for safe travels, no tie ups, etc. I'll blog ya when I get back...
Thank you for sharing this.... oh, how I needed to be reminded of this simple, freeing truth!
Great reminder. Thanks for the devo.
Our family is taking a HUGE leap of faith ... just lost 1/2 our income after adding 3 children to our already HUGE family. :)
I am, seriously, not worried ... and at peace. God's plan is bigger than my plan.
Laurel :)
