DATE WITH MY OLDEST ....

What a fabulous day I had with Jeremiah. Words can not describe the way this child makes me feel. He is my first born and for 4 years it was just he and I before the rest of team showed up. He is kind, compassionate, and full of energy. He is always sweet to others and has the amazing ability to make any child feel welcomed as a friend. This was how our date day went... (all his choices)

1. Breakfast at McDonald's
2. School Shopping at Old Navy (shopping with him is quick and easy)
3. Game Stop for a new play station game
4. Chuck E Cheese for games, pizza, and drinks
5. Movie "Evan Almighty" ... highly recommend this movie .... what spoke to me - Part where God challenges the mother to think about what prayers really are ...if you pray for patience does God give you patience or an opportunity to grow in patience ... great lesson !!!!
6. Top the day off with "Cold Stone" ice cream ... my creation was dark chocolate ice cream with brownies and oreos .... can you taste it ????

We are preparing for school (thanks to blog fairy for the new facelift)... Elijah got the name of his teacher today, and Jeremiah's comes on the 10th ... The mother's day out program begged me to send Emily, but I am keeping her home another year, so her and Maggie can have some girl time with mommy ...

Love you all and hope blessings are flowing in your lives !!!!

What a great date! And what a great kid...you are sooo right about him, he is certainly special!
I will have to check out the movie...hmmmm a lesson in patience. (never an easy one to learn, that is for sure!)

That is so nice that you will keep Emily home another year to have lots of sister-sister bonding time.

What a fun date! I think it is wonderful that you did this with your son. I bet this made him feel so special. We saw the movie Evan Almighty too and it really did have some great lessons in this movie.
Great picture of the two of you. You can see the love, for sure. You have a wonderful family and you can tell it is a household of faith.

I love that you guys went on a date for the whole day. I have never done with my son. He to had all my attention for 4 years before his sister came into our lives. I am sure that made Jeremiah feel so special.

Sounds wonderful!!! And yes, Jeremiah is a great kid - we think highly of him at the Bilby house too!!! And I think you are wise to keep Emily home - she needs some good time with Maggie - that will be special!

We have just seen Evan Almighty and that was the exact part of the movie I loved too. What a great way to look at trials and praying.

I love that you date J. You are preparing him for Karly (haha). How he should treat her when they start dating at 18. Your a great mom and someday he will be a great husband because of the man he becomes.

It sounds like you and Jeremiah have the same relationship I have with my Peter. He was 4 years old when Caroline was born and 5 when she came home. He and I had 4 years together and it was a lot of fun.

For his 8th birthday last week, I gave him a handmade gift certificate to Disneyland with me has his date for the day. He loved it!
