Sleeping Angels !!!

What an exhausting past week emotionally with the COP list request. I think I failed miserably as a mom during that time. I was so anxious, short tempered, and unavailable, but in the midst of it my kids never missed a beat. They gave me hugs, kisses, and "I love You, Mom." My lesson learned is that in the trials of following Christ's Plan for our life (Example- COP List, we can't be so focused that we miss His blessings along the way. Things I overlooked that I now see. 1) Jeremiah wrote on his brand new basketball shoes, but He wrote scripture 2)Elijah completely destroyed his room with clothes everywhere, but He dressed himself all week with no help 3)Emily got into my make-up and made a mess, but when I got on to her ... she simply said, "But you tell me to share." So I guess it is all in how you want to look at things. I am going to look at the blessings of my messy house, dirty dishes, screaming kids, and say "Thank You Lord."

P.S. still waiting on everyone to weigh in on the Home Organization Email I sent out. That is my next post.

8 kind words.:

We all fail miserably as moms at times...we are human, after all.
But, it is so cool that our kids love us in spite of our shortcomings, and Oh! we have the same kind of love for them too, don't we??

I hope "Oprah" was helpful in the organization department!

We all have weeks like that. You are truly blessed though, I see it in your children. I love watching mine when they sleep too.
Elijah is a great name!! Do you ever hear the Christian song, the Days of Elijah? Whenever I hear it I think yeah, I'm literally living the days of Elijah.
Thank you for your comment on my blog. You are very right. I ache for my daughter, but I have met so many great people along the way to her that it all has been a blessing.

I am so happy to hear you have a DTC date. I feel like I have been failing lately as well.....I just want to be DTC. Sigh.... I know it is all in God's hands.....I just wish I could "hear" his voice, telling me if I am doing the right thing or not. But I am truly.....TRULY happy for you! ;)
Hugs.....

I have been very stressed as well right now with friends, school, sports, computer problems- the whole nine yards. I know I'm not as busy and stressed as some of you moms but I can still kinda relate. Hopefully your upcomming week will be less stressful.
Love the pics of all the kids sleeping. Very cute!!
