YES I KNOW I LOOK TIRED !!! LOL

I appreciate all the concern ... hee hee ... I know I look tired in the video blog ... I was trying to be transparent and show you some real life ... Honestly, I am tired, but oh SO JOYFUL ...

Joseph and Daisy each get up about twice a night ...  I think it just to check and see if I am here, so the sleeping not so great, but I am kind of used to it ... AND MY SWEET HEALTHY FRIENDS KEEP TELLING ME TO DRINK MORE WATER and my skin will look better and brighter (oh WHY didn't God make DIET COKE healthy)... I laugh at most everything these days cause there are a lot of things I would like to do for myself, but each day it is just about MAKING it through the day and getting it all done ... I am good and as long as I can run or get on the elliptical 4 days a week then I will at least be SANE ... I may look tired and older than my OH SO YOUNG 40 YRS, but at least I know it ... ha ha ha !!!

Going to see SANTA tomorrow  ... Joseph, Daisy, and Maggie are so excited !!!

TALK TO YA SOON !!  ...

I wanted to do the "introduce yourself" comment, but never got around to it, so even though Ive never commented before before I HAVE to now. You do NOT look tired! You look beautiful and like a mother who is dying to herself and pouring herself out to her children in love and endless care! NOT TIRED!!! Radiantly being used by Him!!!
(I think we should add the 'you look tired' to the please dont every say this to me list!!)
You could not begin to know what an encouragement you are to me. The Lord made my heart come to life for the orphan about 2 and 1/2 years ago. My husband and I are gaining more and more excitement by the day for our adoption journey to begin, but we know it is not yet time. The past two years have been full of intense heartache and grief and we are finally in a place we feel able to breathe again, but we know the Lord will say GO! soon. Hopefully this summer : )
You are a LIGHT and anything else you hear is a lie!

i know it's one of the things we all deal with when we bring home a child, but waking at night is HARD on us as moms! and though we push through knowing it's par for the course, i am going to be praying that your children sleep! that this stage of night waking comes to a quick end so you can rest. i know that we are having better nights here because of prayer and so i will be praying for you!

As I was thinking about the whole "looking tired" comments, I immediately thought about Isaiah 58. This chapter seems to typifies your sacrificial life:

"Is this not the fast I have chosen;
To loose the bonds of wickedness,
To undo the heavy burdens,
To let the oppressed go free.
And that you break every yoke?

Is it not to share your bread with the hungry?
And that you bring to your house the poor who are cast out;
When you see the naked, that you cover him,
And not hide yourself from your own flesh?
Then your light shall break forth like the morning,
Your healing shall spring forth speedily,
And your righteousness shall go before you;
The glory of the Lord shall be your rear guard
Then you shall call, and the Lord will answer;
You shall cry, and He will say, "Here am I."

Your life is beautiful. . .

I just gotta say, "WHAT?" Tired?? I can understand you FEELING tired, but you don't look it! I was just catching up on your last few blog posts and read the "20 years" one (congratulations!...so cool to see God story through you!), and said to my husband, "NO WAY could they be together 20 years...she looks SO YOUNG!!!!"
I LOVE all the work you do...your life exudes the love of Christ!!
(P.S. I know I don't comment on here often...I follow your story all the time, though, and I am so inspired and challenged! I got to meet you in Austin at the adoption conference!)
