There is a Thunderstorm in my Mind ...

I have so many things to update you on and to share, but here are just a few I felt that if I didn't get out of my head then they might get lost over the next couple of days ...

1.  I NEED you to google FALLING WHISTLES and read the story about these child soldiers ... I NEED you to act on their behalf ... I was more than broken, I was ashamed that this goes on in our world today and much worse ... I thought of my boys and I purchased the whistles and will be sharing this story w/ who ever will listen ...

2.  Next is my sweet friend Denise from Point of Grace ... I love her and I love what this group does for others ... They gave of themselves last summer to help us raise the funds for our adoption ... They are beyond busy, but just stopped and said YES we want to use the talents God gave us to help !!! Check out this video and buy their new CD ... They are crazy cool moms just like all of us ...

3.  New 147 spring gear is coming out next week, so don't forget to stop by our website 147millionorphans.com and get your new gear or tell your hubby you must have it for EASTER or Mother's Day !!!

4.  Connie Stowers is donating her quilting talents to help two adoptive families ... check out her etsy store and see some real love and craftsmanship ... I am sure Connie will leave the link in the comment section ... she sent it to me 3 times, but I can't find it ...

Did I mention my mind is in a thunderstorm ... lol ... Pray Pray Pray ... Running out the door and just had to stop in and say I LOVE YOU ALL and I appreciate your prayers  !!!

Whoa - love how much God is doing with you guys! So cool.

The video and song is more than adorable, gave me a great tickle and I'm still without kids so I can only imagine how that thought process increases with little ones to take care of. Thank you for sharing!

Hey Gwen, Thanks for your updates, your love, and time devoted to family and helping those in need.
I really like P.O.G. I especially like the song, How you live.
I will check out the whistles and see what that is about. Take care sister in Christ, may the Lord continue to bless your family and ministry.

Your life is a whirlwind!
I am going to do the google search... even though I know it will break my heart.
I am thankful to each person who came forward to help you to bring your babies home.... I remember when we were just praying and praying for Jesus to move the mountains. And now my friend... He has moved them all...
will be praying...
God's Speed...
Love,
Daleea

Gwen, I did some checking around on the net to find out if this "falling whistles" is for real and I'm not finding supportive information. I'm all for supporting worthy causes, but I would be careful believing something unless there is proof of what this money is going towards.

I'm the first to want to help when I can but I don't want to give money away to someone who makes a website to take money for wrong reasons, you know?

I like to do research and ask God if He wants me to support a certain cause or ministry. The same way I approached Amazima. I found real live people that have seen Katie and visited her.

For the person who made the FW website and started the organization, I pray this is legit because it would make me sick if they were using the funds for their gain.

Don't mean to discourage you but we are to test every spirit, 1 Jn 4:1; and also to be wise as serpents and innocent as doves, Matt 10:16. I love your heart though. Praying for your trip.

Love you sweet friend! Your blog is such a blessing to so many. Do any of your friends have a support group for Attachment Disorder. Sarah has many issues. It would be great to meet with other moms going through similar things. We'll know April 21st, if we will have custody.
I got the number for you for the Gatlinburg conference next year, it's Denise at 373-2255. Also, I'm wondering if you would do well at Kent's conference in Feb. It's a conference for youth ministers and workers (Conclave). Usually runs around 1000 people from 6 different states. Let me know if you want to.
Love you and know that I am praying for you.
