Waiting On The Lord ...

JESUS CALLING by Sarah Young  for the last few days as we received the news about Maggie's surgery!

Wed ... "Be willing to go out on a limb with ME"

Thurs ... "Make ME the focal point of your search for security"

Fri ... "I am working on your behalf"

Sat ... "I am taking care of YOU"

Sun ... "Take time to be holy"

If this is not a devo you have then go and buy it today ... As I sat down and read the devo and the scriptures for the day, I was washed over with His love for my family, for the orphans of the world, for the poor, for my friends, for all those in our prayer life and so much more ... I mean it easy to forget on some days that He is the one who owns it all, gave it all, and CAN MOVE MOUNTAINS !!!   I will not stop going to my knees in a very desperate way for Maggie's surgery and for Daisy and Joseph to come home ... I won't stop being broken BECAUSE WHY HIDE FROM MY SAVIOR WHAT HE ALREADY KNOWS ... He created me after all ...

Thank you Holy Spirit for interceding for me when I grow weary ...

Here is the beauty of it ... Maggie has no idea that surgery was canceled and she still goes about her day as a happy little stinker !!!

17 kind words.:

I am so sorry about the delay, but it is so like our sweet Jesus to give you the exact words you need to hear during this time! Praying it will be soon for you!
And what a blessing that Maggie doesn't know!! Disappointed kids are much more difficult to deal with than working through the disappointment yourself. Hugs to you girlfriend.

Praising God He washed over you through the devo and reminded you of His presence!

Praising God that Maggie is being the same joyful child regardless of changed plans - we can learn so much from them. Why worry about something that isn't happening today?

Love and hugs,
Jill
Prayers remain for Daisy and Joseph!

Oh, what a beautiful gift from the Father. I love when He does that.... He knows right where we are and He meets us there.
I am thankful for the answered prayer for peace and grace for you sweet sister of mine.... I am praying!!!!!!!!!! Oh, how I pray for the phone call before Christmas and your babies in your arms in the beginning of Jan....
ok... well, I can't help but ask the Lord and beg and plead on their behalf and on yours but ultimately I am submitting and praying for our God's perfect will and timing for all of your lives.... but I know you are all oh, so close.
love you,
Daleea

I'm so sorry to hear about the setbacks and waiting and delays. I know the feeling too well.(Funny I just unloaded about it on my blog before checking in on yours.) Sometimes I wonder when I'm following His will, why He doesn't answer my prayers my way. But His "ways are not my ways, His thoughts not my thoughts"--still it is so hard.

I will pray for mountains to be moved with your adoptions, for doors to open for Maggie's surgery, and for you to feel God's peace and patience during these long waits.

Many Blessings,
Kathie

oh my! here comes more...so the more i am meeting families adopting from Uganda the more I am realizing more people are independently adopting rather than going through an agency! So now my husband and I want to pray and decide for sure which option to do before we start in January! If we can do the same process and cut out the middle man and save thousands, that sounds great to us! Yet, this is our first adoption and I am a little scared of that we might not know what all papers to do and fill out and such! Anyways, I have been put in touch with three laywers, isaac obiro who emailed me and said he is accepting no more independents for 2010 so he is out of the qquestion. I just emailed peter nyombi and then I also heard about nicholas opiyo. Do you know anything about these last two? Who are you using as your lawyer? THe only thing I am also scared about is I heard only Isaac finds your children adn that the other lawyers, you have to find your own! I would have no clue on where to start with that! Any information you can give me wold be so grateful! Thanks so much gwen! Love in Christ, April
