IT IS JUST TIME ...
(flash back from summer ... I already miss my flip flops ... not a winter girl)
I know myself, so I am going to hold off on checking the computer 1st thing in the morning and get back to my quiet time and read some of the amazing books I ordered a month ago (Scared by Tom Davis and What Difference Do It Make by Hall & Moore) ...I promise not to disappear, because I love you all to much for that !!! I can feel God has a few things to teach me in the coming weeks (all of which I promise to share) ... As I have loved on Josie Love the last couple of weeks, it has just reminded me of the pureness of love ... I know she does this to everyone, but when I walk into the Mayernick's house and say her name she gives me the biggest smile I have ever seen ... It is as if I just gave her a gift ... LESSON #1, when Christ speaks our name each day, shouldn't we turn to Him w/ the biggest smile we can muster and shine His glory through us for others to see ... A fire starts w/ a single flame ...
Please pray for Maggie as we prepare for another surgery ... Pray she stays healthy till surgery and that she will resist any type of infection during and after surgery ... Pray the call comes from Uganda before Christmas about a court date in January (THAT IS TRULY ALL I WANT FOR CHRISTMAS) and continue to remember Katie and all the children she will be caring for this Christmas ...
Love You All ...

You know who is covering Maggie in prayer!
Thank you for these timely reminders that we must make time to be still and prepare our hearts for the birth of our Savior!
Hoping to squeeze some time on our calendar when we are home for the holidays! Kristi's got our travel dates.
Love & Blessings,
Kim
You know I'll be anxious to read of updates on sweet Maggie during/after her surgery. You've always been such a good supporter and prayer warrior during Josie's surgeries. Thinking and praying for your sweet family!!
Beautiful!
I understand!
Praying over all your requests!
Praying that you receive the blessed Christmas gift your heart desires!
Wishing you a blessed holiday season rich in Christ alone!
Love you!
Jill
Enjoy loving on the precious treasures that God has gifted you. I'll definitely be here whenever you get time to update and I'll continue to pray for your family in the coming weeks.
Hugs from Huntsville,
Erica
I love how you were faithful to step out and up when God called... and I love how you are being obedient when He tells you to let go. Sometimes in ministry we have to say no and often times people don't realize that and the Lord will do what it takes to quiet us before HIm. I can't wait to share in all that Jesus is doing in your lives... in precious Maggies, in your babies waiting for you, in 147 million Orphans, in Katie, the girls and all the children ministered to through Amizma ministries.... oh, God is so good....
Will be praying.....
God's speed...
love,
Daleea
Totally understandable.
Praying blessings!
Thankful for you and your family and your mission.

Gwen, I love your heart!! It's an overwhelming job to keep up with blogging, fundraisers, serving and fun... but you are soooo right, family always comes first. God will give you the courage & strength to keep serving Him with your passion for orphans. I'm so proud of you!!
We'll cheer each other on to keep balanced, especially now that its December:) whew!!
You've got it Gwen. My support and my respect. Priorites girl.
love,
Holly
Oh sweet sister. What a heart felt post. I will be lifting up Maggie & your entire family during this time. Can't wait to see what God is teaching you - He's been teaching me so much through you lately too!!!!
Also praying you get your only Christmas wish this year. ;0)

Sister, you give tirelessly of yourself, allowing Him to work through you- don't think anyone will question your need to step back, share the load and prepare for surgery, 2 more kiddos, etc.
I love you and am privileged to walk this crazy road of life with you!
gwen i will pray for your sweet family!
Good for you. Prioritizing is VERY difficult, & you have juggled 1,000 noble things so impressively! Glad you're cutting back to 999. ;-)
good for you...see you Friday :) kj
Sister, knowing when to say "when" is WISDOM. Once again you raise the bar for us all to keep balance and to not neglect our time WITH our families or Jesus because we are too busy doing things FOR Him! I pray you find the rest you need, and that sweet Maggie's surgery goes off without a hitch. (And, of course, I pray for that PHONE CALL!!!)

Hey Gwen! I will be praying for sweet Maggie, and your entire family as you enter into a new season...not just the Christmas season, but a season of a new song in your hearts! Thank you for your words of wisdom you share with us...and for reminding me to keep HIM first always!!!!!!!!
Love you!
I love your heart too. I too am in the process of trying to find more time to focus on family. Motherhood is a ministry.
We are praying for Katie and for you as you await a court date. Prayers for your daughter as well.
LOVE YOU SISTA! Your family is in our prayers!
Yet again God uses you to teach so many...even in the hard things. Your example of serving and your example of stepping back and prioritizing are glorifying to Him. THANK YOU! I said this in my latest post but I have heard it said that "man can count the number of seeds in an apple but only God can count the number of apples in a seed". God has planted many, many seeds through you, 147 Million and Amazima. Praying for you and your family, sweet Maggie and that p.e.r.e.c.t.l.y timed phone call. Can't wait to hug your neck after Christmas. I'll bring some sea shells!
