A Movement! Helping You Help 147 Million

I want you to picture this with me ... As God continues to guide us on our new journey with 147millionorphans.com. He has guided us in our mission to helping families raise money for their adoptions by creating and selling products to them at wholesale, to bring light to the darkness of the orphan crisis through education and knowledge. The FATHER has revealed something to me that I hesitate to share because it seems so unreal, big, and beyond my own capacity, but then again my SAVIOR is in the IMPOSSIBLE business !!!! So I am going to share a vision with you and you can pray along with me and join in on the craziness ... A MOVEMENT - I know that families could design their own t-shirt and sell them for a fundraiser, I know people can go to Gap or Old Navy and get a cool shirt, and you could just run in Target and pick up someone a t-shirt for their birthday OR WE COULD DECIDE WE ARE GOING TO SAY SOMETHING SIGNIFICANT AS A WHOLE BODY/GROUP/FAMILY and plant seeds about orphans where ever we go.

Here is the dream God gave me ... A woman living in Iowa goes to her local grocery store and sees the 147 million orphan shirt, and then next week on her way to see her parents in Kentucky she sees the 147 million orphan shirt, and later that month on her vacation in Florida, she sees the 147 million orphan shirt, which then is a seed planted and watered twice ... CAN'T YOU JUST SEE THE CHANGE WE COULD MAKE IF WE ARE ALL PLANTING SEEDS .... More adoptions, more children sponsored, more foster kids brought into homes, more orphans loved with supplies needed, more mission trips to orphanages, more churches loving on our local children's shelter ... THE POSSIBILITY IS ENDLESS WHEN YOU SERVE A POSSIBLE GOD ...

When the new line comes out next week, you will see we have attached a REAL purpose for purchasing our products - we will be feeding as many children as possible in the Karomajong tribe in Uganda, Africa. This is a group of nomadic children (numbering approx. 1200) that live in the hills near Katie and she has started feeding all of them daily ... Suzanne and I have decided to donate to the feeding of these children with each of your purchases ... Example - purchasing a t-shirt will feed a child for 2 weeks, purchasing our new Orphan Bag will feed a child for 3 months, Magazine Bead necklaces will feed a child for 2 weeks, etc .... WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE WHEN WE ALL STAND TOGETHER ...

Thanks for letting me share my heart with you all .... I am excited to see what God does with this new journey and venture !!!

If you are interested in placing a wholesale order for your adoption Fundraiser then stay tuned next Monday when I post the products here and will be making the order Tuesday night ...

I think this is so great!! We were planning on doing shirts for our Haiti adoption last summer, but God has other plans and Haiti isn't it. I love the movement! ; )

I have also posted on Aug. 4th a red thread incident from our home that I know you'll identify with and appreciate because it is close to your heart as well.

I believe God wants us to dream BIG...to trust Him to move mightily...NOT to settle into complacency.
I KNOW that simply wearing a tshirt can plant seeds because I was wearing a HOPE+ shirt just yesterday from www.projecthopeful.org and everyone in the post office was listening to my answers and one man's questions!!!
Go GOD!!!

Gwen,
I have been a follower for A LONG time. I found you through Steffie & Becky (we are with Bethany - just a couple hours down I40), just never got the nerve to tell you how God is using you to bless others. You are so inspiring. My hubby & I are praying about Ethiopia & would like to talk to you sometime.
Blessings to you & your precious family. Thank you for sharing your heart & passions with the rest of us. "God is so good...All the time."

What an absolutely brilliant, wonderful and terrific idea. I'm not sure how we can fit in being that we live in Canada..but will quickly discuss it with dh and pray about it. Maybe we could be the Canadian contact family. This is sooooo very exciting.

I have felt for about a week or so that maybe God was calling us to adopt the village of the Karomajong tribe...this might be God's answer for our family.

Will keep you posted and let me know if you can think of anything that we here in Canada could do.

I love it that you are going to help Katie feed the Karamajong children! The Karamajong have been on my heart since I first learned of them in 2006.

Gwen, we are having a fundraiser garage sale two weeks from today (Aug. 21) for Redeemer House Orphanage in Busiga, Uganda. If I could get some shirts in time, I would sell them at the garage sale to help my kids, Justin and Shauna, bring their son Isaiah home from Uganda. I'm in Oregon. Any chance I could get something in time? What is is wholesale price, and how many would I have to buy?

AMAZING! I love it! I know your T-shirts that I am wearing are turning heads and prompting conversations in Hong Kong! Cannot wait to check out your new products. You are such an inspiration.
I miss you so,
Kim
