Hey there- I was at Tracy's house today and was completely blown away by Katie's story. I am 18 years old and I want so badly to do what Katie is doing, my heart and soul is in Africa. I have always known that I want to adopt from Africa when I am older and I am praying God will open those doors when the time is right. I read Katie's blog when I got home and felt instantly connected to all those beautiful children. They are precious and I my heart yearns to go to Uganda someday and love on them! Because I am still a teenager, I sometimes feel like I can't really do anything to help, but Katie's story showed me age doesn't matter at all! She is a true inspiration and she radiates the love of Christ. Her ministry is absolutely incredible. Our God is so loving and good and Katie truly conveys that to these children. While my heart aches for the struggles these children have endured that NO child should ever have to endure, my heart also rejoices for the blessings this ministry has brought them. It's stories like these that truly put our lives into perspecitve. I cannot say enough about this ministry. I am hoping to go to Uganda this October with a group; praying that God will open those doors. My heart longs to hold those children in my arms and share Jesus with them. I am excited and hopeful to see what God will do. HE is so faithful and it is ministries like these that I truly see God at work. Thank you so much for coming to Murfreesboro and sharing this awesome story! I am so grateful. God bless both of you and I'll will be keeping both of your adoption stories in my prayers! I know y'all can't wait to hold your sweet babies!:) Thanks again.
In His awesome love,
Mary Elizabeth

I just stopped in to leave a note to tell you that you are in my heart and my prayers.
I pray little Maggie is doing well too.
How wonderful that God is continuing to open doors of opportunities for you to share Him and your love for the orphans.
Love you sister!

Gwen,

I'm a good friend of your Katie's...another Uganda girl who spent months and months with her in the beginnings of Amazima (and the first Amazima sponsor!! I was SO excited about that!)
My heart literally beats for the people and children of Uganda.

I am THRILLED with the news of your sweet boy Matthias Joseph. Congratulations! Having spent 10+ months with the Amani babies, I had to share with you that your boy was the FIRST baby I held at Amani. From that first moment, the first time he crawled over to me and reached his arms up, before any of the other babies, I was hooked on Uganda. He will always be special to me.

Go God GO!!! Get Joseph home!!
Love,
Rachel
