Just Because I Am A Mom ...

You will all get this and I know you will join me ... In the room next to us at the hospital is a precious little toddler baby girl about 12-16 months old and she is alone ... Her mother has to work during the day ... I can not tell you how this affects my heart, but I know you understand ... Let's lift this angel up and her mother ... I pray God helps neither one of them to feel alone !!

It makes me so appreciative to Nana (Scott's grandmother), who has stayed at my house all week just to be a pair of Mama arms for my children ... She is the most fabulous 84 year old ever and my children think she hangs the moon and that she can do ANYTHING !!! We love you Nana!

We may get to go home tomorrow if the new oral antibiotics work !!!!

Dear friend, I am so sorry things have been so difficult. Our prayers are with you and Ms.Maggie and my hope is that there will be some extra, precious, bittersweet treasures for your box when you look back on this experience. Your faith and posts speak you have found many already. Psalm 34:4 & 5 I sought the Lord, and he answered me; he delivered me from all my fears. Those who look to him are radiant; their faces are never covered with shame.
Sending...Love, hugs and prayers. You truly are radiant as we witness your faith in the midst of these hard things.

Gwen,
I'm so sorry that I'm just now catching up on all you have been through this past week with sweet Maggie. I've been traveling and focussed on getting our paperwork off to USCIS and I haven't been online much and I just saw your posts and the post on Katie's blog tonight. Your faith and strength during this time are inspiring. You know in the deepest parts of your being that God is in control! He will work all of this to good for His glory. Sister, I'm just a few hours away if there is anything I can do.
Love and blessings,
Teresa

Oh Gwen, I am so glad Maggie may go home tomorrow and also sad for the little girl next door. Would her mother allow anyone to come in and sit with and talk to her (me)? Is she even there on the weekends alone?

Hi Gwen,
It breaks my heart when babies and kids are left alone in hospitals. My sister is an RN at a children's hospital in Fort Worth. They have volunteers come in to rock babies. I enjoy doing that when I can.

I am elated that y'all may be getting out tomorrow!! It is such a blessing that you have wonderful friends and family to help out!! You are blessed.

Gwen - Still sending loving thoughts your way and pray, pray, praying. I am glad you said that about the little girl by you who is alone. My 17 year old, Emmy,
goes to VCH every Saturday and there are so many precious little children that often are alone just begging for someone to be with them. We all know that the staff can't do it all. My son is going to volunteer too this summer. Let me tell you Emmy's experience has been eyeopening and has been a blessing to her. I would encourage anyone who has a bit of time to look into being a volunteer. Emmy has gotten back more that she could ever give. So we are praying for all those precious little patients and their families who want to be there but can't. Love you guys.

Ahh that breaks my heart. I am a working mom, but fortunate with a job that provides a lot of sick leave...that stinks.
Praying for them and for you and your family!
