The Father Is Rejoicing .....

How do I even explain what my heart does when I get news that someone is adopting ... My heart sings, does cartwheels, yells, gets all fuzzy warm, and then I proceed to eat chocolate like crazy because I get extremely hyper !!!!

I got an email tonight from a dear sweet friend that I have know for many years ... I had them on my "HIT LIST" for adoption (that is the list of people who I THINK should adopt ... So if you are one of those people you better watch out ) .... She they are ready to start paperwork ... I am beyond thrilled and honored they shared this w/ me ...

I have a feeling that THE BOOK is going to touch many of those people in the "considering adoption" stage ... I think if you look people in the eye and share your story then you grab their heart ... I am never shy about sharing my family's story ... God has marked us out on a great path that is fill w/ so many emotions both joyful and hard, and in the midst of it all GOD SHOWS UP BIG ....

We are off to the lake w/ some friends for the week, so I will check back in ... I am sorry I haven't checked in on you all lately, but with our sweet friends the Chapman's hurting it has been a very soul searching time for us ... God is wrapping His arms around many now and beginning to heal and guide ... I thank you all for your sweet words and ask you to continue to lift up this family and their extended family by name ...

Love You All ...

I know you've probably been on a roller coaster of emotions with the Chapmans and then having your brother and his family back in TN permanently... I was getting kind of worried, but glad He is on your side and "working" for you... I've had some trouble also, but I can't even compare (won't even try)... but again, I know He's also on my side and is "working" for our family as well

Gwen, Your witness about adoption touches my heart. I have felt the "tugging" of adoption for most of my life, but my husband is not in the same place. I pray that if adoption is God's plan for our family, that He will change my husband's heart. If it is not His plan for our family, I pray He takes the desire from my heart. My husband is the head of our family and I know that we will follow his lead. I learned a long time ago that "nagging" will get NOWHERE, so I just pray. He knows where my heart is, and if he ever becomes open, I pray he follows his heart.
Meanwhile, I pray for the children and the families who are adopting. Thank you for your witness about the miracle of adoption.
Blessings-Andie

PS...I can't wait to read our book! :o)

Yeah for your friends! I have someone on my "hit list" and I told my husband last night that I'm sending them the adoption story that I wrote for your project. I think the wife is ready, but the husband is reluctant. I have no doubt your book will do great things. I'm so thankful to be a part of it.

Enjoy the lake!
p.s. Would you mind if I add you to my favs on my blog?
