A PRICELESS GIFT !!!

What a surprise that came today ... Yolanda was coming by for a visit today and she brought me the most precious, priceless gift ... Jim (aka my adopted brother), who is beyond talented, painted me the most amazing scene of an angel peaking through the bamboo trees in China watching over my two baskets ... The baskets that held my precious Emily and Maggie till I came ... I just bawled when she showed it to me ... Jim can capture the spirit of emotions better than anyone I have ever met ... Hoping the picture on the blog does it justice ... I have found a place in my living room so that each time I pass it I will be blessed and happy knowing my two blessings are home ... Jim, I love you and am thankful God brought your family into our lives ... I will never forget the day I was walking through the parking lot at church pregnant with Elijah and you told me my daughter was in China ... LOVE YA!

Jim is the artist for the "Shoay and Dot" books by MaryBeth Chapman ... If you don't have one you should get one for your little one... The art work just brings alive the story ...

UPDATE ... Sleep is better ... Mags wakes about twice a night, but no tantrums in over a week ... Keep the prayers coming ...

35 kind words.:

Wow the paintings are so beautiful brought me straight to tears. Great reminder of our Father's love for these precious children. Even more so today when so many of China's waiting children are struggily with this horrible ice storm. I'm keeping your angels and the ones still waiting in prayer.

OH wow Gwen...now that is a precious gift! You have some really dear friends! I love it! I also love those books....I gave one to my friends when she adopted from China in 2005. I think it had just been released....and I was so excited to get it for her! I am so in awe that you know not only the Chapmans personally but also the artist for their book AND...the Titan's coach and his family! My hubby wants to come over and hang out with you all during football season! hee-hee!
SO glad to hear that Miss Maggie is still sleeping pretty well...and that she has not had a night terror in awhile! God is so good!
I don't know if you got my comment about the Jesus Calling...so I really want to say it again....I am so blessed by this devo...and I just really want to thank you from my heart for introducing and recommending it...yesterday and today's pages were written FOR ME!
Love & Hugs to you my blogger blessing!

Oh Gwen....WOW doesn't even begin to share my thoughts, but I'll start there. What a priceless gift is correct....it would touch all of our hearts who have daughters from China, I tell ya!! Maybe you should just give him a nudge and tell him he oughta put some into print to sell at the Christian bookstores!! HINT, HINT!! And you my friend...get the ORIGINAL!! HOW COOL IS THAT? :) And of course Kaylin has the Shoey books too and LOVE the artwork from Mr. Jim! So wish I was able to get together with you guys if I were still in good 'ol Tennessee!! Awesome to hear that Mags is still sleeping so well. I think she and Kaylin must have the same clock going on here with the twice a night wakings...somehow we've got to reset their clocks a bit! ;) HUGS to you my friend!

I'm so glad to hear that Maggie hasn't had any tantrums! Looks like God is healing her painful memories and some of the homesick that she may have been feeling.
Enjoy the nice warmer weather that we're having today. =]
Continually praying,

I dont have the word... What a precious gift. He no doubt saw the truth... I am most certain that Jesus had and has his angels posted around our little ones... My heart is comforted in this reminder that His angels are posted over all of the little ones that are still awaiting their families and during this most difficult time in China.
I am so glad our babies are home and thank God that He continues to watch our babies that we know only in our hearts.
So glad Maggie is doing better.
God Bless You.

Started reading JC last night in bed...I'm reading fast through January to get to the current day. I read some last night and just sat back and thought about them. They really do hit home. What a wonderful time I (we) get to share with God...

Jim did an incredible job of putting on paper what we all visualized in our hearts before our girls were home...brought me to tears too. So glad you are surrounded by such wonderful, Godly people in your life. What a blessing!

Also glad to hear Maggie is doing so well at night...she wakes up fewer times than Lily!!!
