My Head Is Full, So I Will Empyt It ...

This picture has nothing to do with the post, but you all get angry when there aren't any pictures ... hee hee hee

OK, first of all no jokes on the title ...

1. A quote from the book Denise sent me, "The comfort of a friend is priceless ...Girlfriends are one of God's sweetest gifts." (not to leave Mr. Brian out because He is considered one of us) THANKS DENISE FOR MY SWEET GIFTS ...

2. Not sure if anyone remembers, but I ask for prayer for a an unspoken way back in China and we feel like God is answering our prayers ... We have been wondering in the desert on this issue for months now and feel thankful that it is finally being resolved ... Please keep praying and I will share more when I can ...

3. I think I forgot to do a tag awhile back about 7 things about myself you might not know (I am a proactive user (love the stuff), I was voted most athletic ib my senior class and no I wasn't a cheerleader even though people assume w/my big mouth that I was, I married my high school sweetheart and moved to California - been married 17 yrs now, I wanted to be an actress at one point and took lessons - big joke, I love college basketball on TV, My favorite show is Biggest Loser - can't get enough of Jillian (she pumps me up for my workouts), I am bear if I don't get a workout in 6 days a week - no comments because I big eater) ...

4. JESUS CALLING ... the last week or so has been on finding peace .. I feel like at times that can look very differently ... Because peace w/Christ isn't always peace in your life ... That has been a great realization ... I feel so peaceful in my walk, in Christ's will for my life, and for His direction to our family, but that doesn't mean an easy road and I am learning that following Him makes all the difference in my life ... I desire Him, I adore what He adores, and I feel His presence w/ me daily ... (now honestly, the whole love your enemy thing keeps me stumped and I am working on that one ...) BUT I FEEL PEACEFUL IN THE LORD ...

5. My excitement for Verna right now is so off the charts ... My sweet friend has her little boy and just causes me to pray for all my sweet waiting mothers ... You are so brave, courageous, and an inspiration to me ... I pray for you all !!!! I pray even more for what I call my HIT LIST ... It is my list of people who say they have thought or prayed about adopting ... I now pray that God lays that burden on your heart so heavy that you begin the process ... Scott named it the Hit List after we came home from China with Emily and so many people would tell us they have prayed about adopting ... don't' want to start a controversy here, but if God has laid it on your heart and we know it is very important to Him then please consider this as a way to grow your family and I promise it will change your life like no other decision out there ...

6. I am seriously thinking about planning a blogger 1st time reunion ... I may make it connect to my China family reunion so those that are interested can do both ... I am thinking about 4th July 2009 ... Stay tune for more details ...

7. Please keep praying for my niece Savannah Hope ...

Thanks is it for now ... Love You All ...

For some reason I got in my head that the devo went off sale Feb 19 so when I went in Feb 18 to get it, not only was it off sale but they were completely out:(

Hey girl! We have to get together SOON! That peace thing you talk about....never more real to me than the last few weeks. It's been hard to explain to lots of people...they look at me like I have 10 heads....in the midst of lots of impending changes....BIG changes....scary-in-the-flesh changes....but have an inexplicable peace....and know exactly where it's coming from. ;)

BUMMED about the blogger reunion....I'm guessing we'll be on the other side of the world by July 09. :)

Lunch soon....pick a date!

I always get so excited when I see you have posted... You always inspire me and lift me up.... not enough to work out though. hehee
Your words about Christ's peace are so very true. I have been struggling in my walk... not in my faith because I know who He is but I have felt so far away from Him for so long now... I know I need to spend time with Him and I will find myself there, at His feet, before the throne of God.
Thank you for the "Hit List" I have been raging a battle within me about Isabella.... Some days I tell myself I must let go.... but I just can't... In my heart of hearts I feel that she is mine and I love my child. It comforted me as a gentle reminder that most likely this love I feel in my heart for her was placed there by God... not just something my heart desires... If this is the case I am certain that He will move the mountains that separate me from my beloved daughter... He is faithful and I love that He will get all the glory.
You are in my heart and my prayers.... oh, how I hope I can make it to your reunion.
God's Peace,
Daleea

Oh what a great post Gwen.
First of all, I am always keeping you and your family in my prayers.
Second, I am in love with my Jesus calling book as well. I have been reading it every day and have even started a journal to go along with it. We also got my dad one so now we all are doing it. [thanks to you]
and the treating your enemies with kindness is indeed a tough one for me too..haha!
And of course I think a blogger reunion would be fun..
[as long as kids could come]
cause it would just be another excuse to come see you.. =]

I think of you and your family often and will keep you in my prayers.
We walk by faith, and I see that so strongly in your life.
Adoption does change you, and the more that you discover and the more people you journey with, the more you change. I am not the same woman I was 2 years ago. And I don't want to be. My whole focus has changed. This has been a tough but beautiful journey and I have met the finest people. You are one of them. Keep walking girl, because I am watching and growing with every step you take.

Hey girl! I haven't been able to post for awhile, but I am here everyday. I love, love, love the Jesus Calling devo. I even bought three to give away while they were on sale! We are getting closer to our Sydney everyday now! Just waiting on TA! Holt estimates our travel dates as mid March. We know there is a group arriving in Beijing March 15. I am trying not to fix my gaze on those dates, but I am ready to fly!! All in His time.

Hi, I'm not sure if I have ever left you a comment. I've been reading for a while. I'm going to look for the Jesus Calling book. It sounds wonderful. I have to know where you get the girls scarfs. Are they a headband or do you tie them? I'd love some for Olivia!
