DR. VISIT #3

SOMEONE IS STARTING TO LOVE THE CAMERA

PRICELESS !!!!

MY GIRLS

The doctor has said he wants to wait 6 months to do Maggie's first surgery ... He wants to make sure her brain is fully developed and done growing before doing surgery. He says the hole is too big to use her own bone, so they will use artificial bone. Our biggest prayer request is that the skin graft done is China was good and that when the doctor goes in the skin is thick enough or he will have to stop the surgery and then schedule another skin graft using skin/muscle from her back ... So Pray Pray Pray that we don't have to do that (and no they can't use someone else's skin .. I volunteered).

I am looking at that 6 months as great time for us to attach, bond and get her comfortable before the shock of surgery ... I love you all for your care and prayers ... It is so humbling to see God's people at work in our lives ...

Hi,
I have been following your story. I havent adopted yet, but I sure hope too. I've got to finish school first. Anyway, Maggie is so precious and it has brought tears to my eyes to see her and think about what she has been through. I was so excited to see this post and to see a smile. Thank you for sharing and your family will definitely be in my prayers. God will see you through this and just remember that he doesn't put anymore on you, unless you can handle it. This is so true.

God Bless you and your family.

Okay, so I wasn't trying to be anonymous. It's ashame that I develop websites, etc. yet the simplest things throw me for a loop. I wanted to attach my name. I hope this does it. :)

Gwen,
It is wonderful to hear from you. I just love the last picture. True sisters, it is precious. I will continue to pray for Maggie. You are doing such a great job of finding the right people to help her.
Eli just came by and saw Maggie's picture and said "Eli go to see her please".

Oh Sweet Gwen! This is the first time I have been able to check a blog in literally months. We are finally set up here in our apartment with internet access. I have sat down for hours just to read your blog and see the journey. I am sitting with tears of joy, awe, just about every emotion I can think of. I am praying for you and sweet sweet Mags. She is absolutely beautiful and I SO wish I could hug her. Let her know how much she is truly loved. I know it has been a difficult transition time bt God is so good and I know He will continue to give you the strength you need for every moment of every day. I love you and an praying.

I love the pictures! Maggie seems to be fitting in pretty good now. Is she still crying during the days and evenings? Six months seems like a long ways off but what great time for her to bond closer to her new family. You have the right idea! She will feel more secure when things do start to happen in her physical healing. Keep the pictures coming, I'm loving them!

Precious pictures! And even more precious are your kiddos! That smile of hers just puts the biggest one on my face! Dress up! Oooooo, I so need a little girl!

You were right about the devo the other day....that one was definitely ours! And it describes perfectly what we are feeling....like we are on the edge of a cliff and just need to grab His hand, hold tight and go ahead and jump! Oh, the process of it all......

I'm so happy to hear you are going to get some good bonding time before she has her surgery. That will help with her healing as well! If she knows she has people around her that love her and she loves back, she will have an easier time healing. She is looking so happy and your children are all just so beautiful!!
