The Head of Our House ...

I am asking for prayer as Scott and Jeremiah head out to a park and set up our grill to feed the homeless. Scott went last week and came back amazed at how God works. Long story short He meet a guy last week that he went to 7th grade with and this guy was naming off people he knew from school and mentioned Scott's name as a really nice guy he knew from 7th grade before he even knew that it was Scott standing in front of him. Also gave a 6'4' 350 lb man a pair of brand new shoes Scott just happened to have in his truck. This grown man weeped. I am so proud of my husband and what an example he is for our family and what an awesome servant of the Lord ....I can't go today because I am home with a sick princess. Feeding the homeless has really changed our lives. We started handing out sack lunches out of our van while we drove around down town Nashville to grilling out and hearing their stories. I ask for prayer for this ministry ....

10 kind words.:

What a great story...tell them we are thinking of them today. Give Emily a hug and tell her we hope she feels better. Dailen is sick, too. Trying to figure out how I am going to manage today-Paul & Rayna just left for Valley Center. And Mackenzie has a game along with snacks...

Gwen - this is awesome. We have talked about making a lunch everytime we go out and asking God to show us where to take it. I have thought about it lots but never done it. :( I hardly ever get into Nashville though, and rarely see homeless people out here. any suggestions?

Have you read "Same Kind of Different as Me"? I just got back from a lunch in Dallas and heard Denver Moore and Ron Hall (the authors, if you haven't read it) speak!! Amazing.
