Always Be Ready ...

What a week this has been ... God has been so big in my life this week I feel like shouting it from the roof tops....Elijah only had one good day at Kindergarten. He seemed unsure and fearful every other day. The teacher pulled him from my leg on Wed... I spent Tues-Friday all day just sick to my stomach and crying for Him ... I prayed each day that God would give me guidance. If there is one thing I have learned is that God created all my children uniquely different. I know their love languages, I know what their cries mean, I know when they are lying, and when they are being sincere. Elijah was not being a brat this week, he was unsure of this new chapter in his life. I spent each night with him reading, talking and just praying over him. God is really helping me to see big picture with Elijah and also preparing me to do something I never thought I would consider ... HOMESCHOOLING ... I am going to give Elijah till Christmas and see if he works through the anxieties and if not pull him out and home school him till he can go to CPA where Scott and Jeremiah are....I TOLD YOU MY GOD IS BIG..

Next on the list of God showing up big is Maggie ... I seemed to get asked about 100 times a day how I am doing waiting for her. I can honestly say each morning in my quiet time He answers my worries of the day concerning my sweet daughter. I so long to have her in my arms, but I know that waiting is what I have to do right now, so I want God to tell me one day you waited "Well MY Good and Faithful Servant" ... My friend Leslie sent me an amazing scripture this week regarding God's plan on waiting ... Habakkuk 2:2-3 (look it up).... HE SHOWED UP BIG AGAIN...

Thirdly, I got a call from Scott's school and was asked to speak to one of their all girl's bible classes. All I can say is that God anointed our time together. I discussed my spiritual time line. I started with where I was at spiritually at their age, gave examples and took them all the way to where I am today... I think they enjoyed it, but when I was done it was such a refreshing moment to see how God has blessed my life during the ups and the downs and how He has been changing me my whole life for such a time as this.... AGAIN HE APPEARS BIG

Thanks to the Lord for an amazing week of his presence !!!!!!!!!!!! i Stumbled upon this video we made back this summer and how God is using feeding the homeless to change my children as well as me ... Thanks friends for checking in on me ! video

Awesome testimony! Thanks for sharing... By the way, if God leads you to homeschool, it isn't half as bad as you may think. We do it (and are not a part of the homeschooling "cult") and it is absolutely the most blessed responsibility I have. God graces you in more ways than you can imagine. Thanks for sharing of the ways God made Himself so real to you this week!

I just wanna reach out and give you a great big HUG! That was so great! Glad to hear that God is strengthening you during this wait. I'll keep the situation with Elijah in my prayers -- he is such a sweet, sensitive soul. You will know what is best for him.

Love the video too -- awesome!
Now we just need one with Emiwee in it too so Lily can see her friend!

those were beautiful testamonies of how great our God is and what He can do for us. can you say a little prayer that my ear gets better? I have, what the ER doc thinks, is a blister on my ear drum and it hurts like the dickens.

oh let me tell you as the mother of 4. Ryan my eldest did the same thing in K and 1st and 2nd gr. I was so young and homeschooling wasn't as popular as today. If ONLY I could go back in time I would have pulled him out in a minute. When I think of the tears and prayers and me feeling sick all day with worry and him upset in the morning, it would have been so much easier!
I do homeschool now, but Ryan attened private school thru 8th gr. He excelled, I am just saying if I had to do it over, we could have had more time together in those early years and all been happier I think. There are so many other outlets these days for the socializing end. Anyway off my sopabox, just wanted to give you an encouraging word about hs if you are considering it research it! Its wonderful...

Loved the video. You'll know what will be best for Elijah, like you said, just give it time. The first week is always rough.

Love the video of the boys. I am seeing future pastors. :)
We have a homeschool program out here where the kids go 2 to 3 days and then are home with you. My friend does this with her son and they love it. Maybe TN has something like that?? I will be praying for you and Elijah for the weeks to come. Kindergarten is a huge adjustment and it may just take sometime. But I know the Lord will guide you in what ever you choose.

Truely pray about the homeschooling idea. It's not that hard and you both would get a lot out of it. It's your schedule and you do what you want with it. You will also learn that Emily will want to learn with Elijah. I homeschooled my 4 kids from 1st grade through middle school. I would love to share with you my experience. And like one of your friends said, you don't have to get involved with a homeschool group..nice way of putting it.=]

Gwen,

It is so good to hear your honesty. I am thankful you share, as you do. You have no idea how much you inspire others- through the good & difficult times. Your family is in my prayers.
