While We Wait ....

While we wait to bring our precious Maggie home we want to make sure we don't miss the awesome blessings of each day. I want to wait well and show how awesome Jesus is in my life. The fact is He can care for all my children whether home, in China or Ethiopia much better than I ever could ....

A Father/Son friend of ours treated Scott & Jeremiah to a weekend in Chicago at ESPN Zone and WNBA game. They had a blast !!! Planes, Trains and Cabs ... Jeremiah couldn't stop talking about it.

So while the boys were away, I got a sitter and spent some much needed time with my friends. We got pedis, ate ice cream and did some retail therapy (pictures included).

Carlee and I ate at Red Lobster ... We laugh and cried together. I was a great time of catch up for us. Thank You Lord we were in a corner both !!!

I feel refreshed and ready for Elijah's first day of kindergarten (tomorrow)... If I hadn't mentioned it yet "Jesus Calling" by Sarah Young is a fabulous way to start the day ... Love You All !!!

I have one starting Kindergarten tomorrow, too, as well as, my oldest starting 6th grade. Between that and then just all of them leaving tomorrow for the day I will definitely need just a little more time with Jesus in the morning or I'll be a mop when I drop everyone off. It's funny, even homeschooling and only having them gone two days a week, it just seems to go way too fast, doesn't it! May we both be filled with His peace tomorrow and may our "babies" do well! :)

Nothing like retail threrapy with your friends. So glad you got a chance to get away and shop for your precious daughter. There is nothing like a good cry and/or laughter with a friend. It does a heart good!
The clothes are great. I can't wait to see the cute outfits on Miss Maggie.

Shopping for little girls clothes is so fun! That's awesome that you got some mommy time. It's nice to pamper ourselves every once in awhile.

Kindergarten - wow! You probably already do, but cherish this age. I've got one starting high school and one starting middle school (the other two are still in elementary) but time flies! One minute they are snuggled up to you saying "I love you Mommy" and the next they are say "Moooom, stop! You're embarrassing me!" I'd love to have mine little again! :)

Can you send that sitter our way? We need some nights out. Seems like I am stuck in this house. Check your email for notes from a crazed blogger ;) Anyway, looks like you made a good haul there. I think I see some Target items.
