ELIJAH'S "ACTUALL" 1ST DAY OF SCHOOL

I blinked a hundred times going into the school to keep from crying. He was brave and excited, but a little hesitant. I left him and made it to the car where I broke down. Elijah won't be at the same school as Jeremiah and Scott till next year, so it seemed as if I was leaving him alone. He seemed so small to be there, but after a good cry and some encouraging words from Scott and my friend Suzanne I made it. When I arrived to pick him up, he was smiling and full of things to share. They had a bear hunt, made a necklace, ate in the cafeteria (which he said was "AMAZING"). He loved it and his teacher had nothing but praise for him. I adore my Elijah, he truly is the joy in my life.

Elijah looks like he is enjoying kindergarten! Sounds like it was definitely harder on you than on him!!! Kids can handle new situations better than we can!!! Enjoy your time with Emily! She'll be headed to kindergarten before you know it!!!

I don't know what I'll do with my time next year when Katelyn starts kindergarten. I won't know what to do with an empty house 5 days a week!!! Maybe more tennis!!!

Yay!!!! I always thought lunch was AMAZING, too.....up until about 6th grade...

Feeling your mommy sadness....
...and your mommy smiles at all of his after-school chatter!

What a huge day for both Elijah AND you, Gwen.
It's OK to have a good cry.
Glad he loved his first day.

I will be the same way when Mallory starts school in a couple of years. I cry now just thinking about her starting preschool.
It is okay that you cried. That's your baby boy. I am sure he will have a fun year and will have daily reports of all the things he is doing.

I don't know if you will catch this but I just went through this with my Edward--I did everything to not cry and as soon as he went in, lost it!! He is getting better each day:)
