Who Will Win This Battle ?
We are currently going on 45 minutes in our room. Emily was put in time-out in her room for 5 minutes for spitting in the car. While she was in her room she proceeded to dump out all her dolls and mess up her bed. I went back to let her out of time out and told her she would have to clean up her mess before she came out. She said "No" and is therefore still in her room. She is crying and calling out "mommy, I get out" but I am not going to cave in. We are at the 47 minute mark and boy is she stubborn. There is an angel in there somewhere. I could use some Valentine's Chocolate right about now. Pray I can stay strong !!!

Hang in there honey!! You can do it!! We've had those battles too.
update- the battle lasted 57 minutes and as she was crying I stood over her and instructed her to pick up each item and she finally did. after that she took a two hour nap!!! i guess i won this one.
We feel our pain here! We are constantly having battles with Hannah. We tell her to do something and she starts saying no, then she starts crying and saying that she is cold. I will put her in her room and tell her that she cannot come out until she stops crying and will do what she is told.
Sophia give's me "the look" when she is mad. There is no mistaking it! ;)
You are a stronger woman than I am, Gwen... I usually lose those battles.
Not many battles here since I started the Love and Logic parenting but it's hard to remember in those moments of URGH :)
Joe keeps reminding me - we HAVE to win these battles otherwise when she's 15 we won't win!!! So - I hear you - battle we do!!! They are SPICY, aren't they?!?!?
we definitely have a spicy one here in TN ...
What a little spicy girl!
