BRAG BOOK #2

This week is all about Elijah. Two weeks early by C-Section, red hair, and a nursing nightmare. We slept in the recliner for the first nine months because of his breathing issues. I remember praying to God to heal him, because I was so fearful of having one child, who could climb a mountain (Jeremiah) and another child who couldn't even run outside. God answered my prayer and Elijah grew out of all his medical issues. He is my JOY (represented by the sun on my tattoo). He has a million different smiles. There is one for laughing, playing jokes, telling his creative stories, His I love you one, embarrassed one, and so many more. His imagination and brave spirit are his special gifts. He can tell a story that lasts forever and never misses a beat. He has amazing prayers and at 4 3/4 He worries about children that don't have a mom or dad. He prays for them to have beds and He just humbles me on a daily basis. Now with the red hair comes a stomp and a temper that will rock your world (Ex. stitches twice and a whole in the wall). He is definitely a strong willed child, but I have no doubt it will serve him well one day when He fights battles for the Lord. He is my precious 2nd child with whom my heart will forever be!!!

Red heads, gotta love them. You know where I'm coming from. They make the world go 'round, just ask them, they'll tell you. Great post and your Elijah is such a sweet boy!

I love how you are doing this with each child -what a great idea. I love it that God made each of ours so different - I'm with you - I love them for their differences and what they each bring to our family!!

I've been looking forward to reading about Elijah! Yes - those red heads are something else!!! Glad to hear that he's grown out of his medical problems. Does he have to take any medications/do any breathing treatments at all anymore? I'm afraid Rachel's not going to grow out of her problems. She's still on daily medications for asthma/allergies, but hey, we have promoted from the nebulizer to inhalers!! So at least it's not quite so time consuming every morning & evening - a couple of puffs on the inhaler is much quicker than 30 minutes using the nebulizer!!! So good to hear all about Elijah and how he's growing up! I'm already looking forward to next Friday's post!!!

You are one blessed mother! It took me a litte while to realize Olivia's strong will could be channeled into something positive for God's purpose and joy. I loved hearing how the boys have shaped your heart and God's!
