WHERE HAS THE TIME GONE ...

Two years ago today, I was sitting in the Bethany Office at 8:30 in the morning not knowing when the UPS guy would come, but just knew I had to be there when they opened. Elijah just played in the playroom and Scott called several times impatiently waiting at school for me to come with our daughter's picture. I remember the UPS guy walking in and I jumped out of my seat. He looked at me and said, "I know what you are waiting for." It was like he was Santa Claus. We opened the package and when she handed me my package and I looked into those beautiful eyes, I was instantly her mother forever. I would have died right then and there for her. They ask the question they ask everyone, you can chose to accpet or deny this referral and without hesitation. I said of course we want her. They said don't you need to take this to your husband. I called him on the phone with tears and I said I have her picture, but they want to know if you need to see her first before we say yes. He said just sign the papers, she is ours. I drove like a mad women to school to show Scott and he met me in the parking lot and we just stared at her. He made a million copies and we both wore her picture around our neck on those big tags. Our players were leaving classrooms without even asking teachers because they new I had her picture. Relatives left work early to come and see her picture. It was a fabulous, glorious day. It was a blessing, just like Emily has been from that moment....Thank you Lord for the blessing of this child and for making us this family!!!! Sorry, I don't have a referral picture scanned and I am not computer savy enough figure it out, but this is a picture from China. Isn't she just a princess?

Oh what I day I remember well for us too! Without question you know these children were meant to be with all of us. They all fit so well into our families almost like they were with us from day one.

Is there a trick to getting smaller pictures on your post? I liked the size of your pictures. I chose the small option but they still turn out so large. It's almost comical over here. I think I have already gotten a stiff neck just sitting down trying to figure out how everything works on this blog! Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha

Thanks for sharing! I loved hearing this and it made me long even more for the day when we get our referral and see our little girl's face for the first time!

She's adorable! I remember when my mom picked me up from school and showed my the picture in the car and how I immediatly got out of the car and was showing her off to everyone. What a wonderful day that was. Can't believe how long ago it actually was when it seems like just yesterday! :)
