Days Away !!!

It is in these moments that I truly wonder how people survive without a faith in the FATHER ... I am walking moment by moment with Him right now ... Only 2 more sleeps till I board a plane to Uganda to see my sweet children ... I have had Joseph's picture in my heart for a year now and have simply fallen in love w/ that smile and my sweet Daisy girl has given me such peace in this journey ... Her name alone is confirmation from the Lord that we are on HIS journey ... Just in case any one is just now joining the O Team blog, I will remind you of the fundraising shirts we used for our adoption that had a DAISY flower on them !!!  AND then one day in early August, Aunt Mary calls with the news of our daughter and tells me her name is DAISY ... Just like the Father to send us confirmation on our faith journey ...

I would be so thrilled and honored if you would all send up prayers Monday night here in United States before you go to bed since we will going to court on Tuesday the 6th in Uganda ...

New 147 spring tees will be on the website end of this week and I just want to remind you that I will be touching the children these shirts feed when I go to Uganda ... This trip holds so much for me ... I will be staying w/ Katie and meeting all of my sweet nieces plus visiting, feeding, and loving on so many of the children Amazima serves ... My heart has been longing for this moment ever since I met Katie ... I am desperate to go and see all that Uganda has and to touch all that God has planted in my heart for this country ...

I will do my best to update on blog and facebook, so stay tuned as the Oatsvall Team's story continues!

There is a Thunderstorm in my Mind ...

I have so many things to update you on and to share, but here are just a few I felt that if I didn't get out of my head then they might get lost over the next couple of days ...

1.  I NEED you to google FALLING WHISTLES and read the story about these child soldiers ... I NEED you to act on their behalf ... I was more than broken, I was ashamed that this goes on in our world today and much worse ... I thought of my boys and I purchased the whistles and will be sharing this story w/ who ever will listen ...

2.  Next is my sweet friend Denise from Point of Grace ... I love her and I love what this group does for others ... They gave of themselves last summer to help us raise the funds for our adoption ... They are beyond busy, but just stopped and said YES we want to use the talents God gave us to help !!! Check out this video and buy their new CD ... They are crazy cool moms just like all of us ...

3.  New 147 spring gear is coming out next week, so don't forget to stop by our website 147millionorphans.com and get your new gear or tell your hubby you must have it for EASTER or Mother's Day !!!

4.  Connie Stowers is donating her quilting talents to help two adoptive families ... check out her etsy store and see some real love and craftsmanship ... I am sure Connie will leave the link in the comment section ... she sent it to me 3 times, but I can't find it ...

Did I mention my mind is in a thunderstorm ... lol ... Pray Pray Pray ... Running out the door and just had to stop in and say I LOVE YOU ALL and I appreciate your prayers  !!!

DEAR ANONYMOUS

THIS IS NOT A SHOW ... I am writing this to stand up for my sisters Katie and Suzanne ... You see I have been blessed (so far) by a blog family that is both encouraging and prayerful, but lately my two sisters have been criticized in ways to me that are just not right and by people who sign their name as ANONYMOUS ...

I will tell you what I think is the REAL issue here ... When ANONYMOUS reads the passion, situations, or stories in other blogs ANONYMOUS begins to feel guilty for NOT being obedient to what God has called ANONYMOUS to ...

Why not try this ... I hear stories all the time about what God is doing in other people's lives and IT INSPIRES ME WHERE I AM ... It doesn't make me feel guilty or make me feel like they are telling me to be just like them  ... I am beyond excited to go visit Katie and see all that Amazima is doing, but I clearly know that God has called me here to answer Katie's emails, share the Amazima story, work on the 147 project, and be a mom/wife ... I don't feel like my life is any less important or impactful because I am doing what I do to bring GLORY TO THE LORD ... bottom line  ...  My family, 147, Amazima, and all that is  "Oatsvall" belongs to the LORD ...

I think we all know that the body of Christ is the real picture of how God has orchestrated our callings ... I have a precious aunt. who is called to the prison ministry and when she talks about the lives God is allowing her touch, or the changes in the women's faith walk or their hopes and dreams for the future, I feel her passion and I stop and pray for her and the ministry ... It doesn't make feel guilty for not giving my time to the prison ministry, but makes me appreciate all those who do  ...

I have friends ... who work for the mission downtown, a few who are are true prayer warriors, others who share their adoptive stories to encourage others, those whose mission is to give godly counsel, some friends just starting out on their journey w/ the Lord, those who give financial blessings to those who have a need, others who tirelessly volunteer to package 147 gear, those who daily give their lives away to orphans around the world, and even a  sweet young woman who has given up this week to come stay w/ my family to help us prepare for my trip to Uganda ... My point is if GOD is calling you to something then do it and don't harp on trying to tell everyone why you AREN'T CALLED to something ...

The beauty of a blog is that it is a place for someone to put their thoughts, dreams, or rants and if you don't like them then JUST KEEP ON GOING !!!  RED X, DELETE, GO BACK, OR DE-FAVORITE THEM ...

I have never said that EVERYONE should adopt or go to the mission field, but I do KNOW that the more we give ourselves to the LORD the more we will bring HIM glory ... OUR LIVES ARE NOT OUR OWN, so figure out where God has you SERVING HIS PEOPLE ...

A THREE CORD STRAND IS NOT EASILY BROKEN and I will always have Suzanne and Katie's back ... that goes for all my peeps ... I am there and supporting all my sisters out there journeying w/ the LORD  !!!

Count Down !!! ... and Update time !!!

Only 22 days till I leave for Uganda !!! I have been preparing for this moment for over a year !!! I am going to walk (who are we kidding ... I AM GONNA RUN) into the gates and tackle my kids !!! I can't wait to touch them and look into their eyes !!! I can't wait to see Katie and meet her precious children and look into the eyes of all the children in the Amazima program that have changed my life !!!

Please pray for our court date (along w/ the Hannah family .. I am traveling w/ them ... They are friends from here adopting Bobby ... Joseph's buddy) ... Pray for Maggie to continue her procedure w/out infection and please lift up an UNSPOKEN ...

Now time for UPDATES ...

2 Trips to the airport in one week !!! That is 6 children coming home to forever families ... I have prayed for these 6 children for over a year ... And of course 147 Million Orphans was represented well at homecoming !!! Thank You Lord for bringing these FAMILIES TOGETHER !! (and yes, I have pjs on in the first airport trip ...lol)

This is TEAM 147 first tourney ... Most of these boys have played together for about 3 years ... They are so fun to watch and more than that we hope we are teaching them about the BIG PICTURE  !!! Instead of names on the back of the jerseys there is a scripture !!!

WE WON OUR FIRST CHAMPIONSHIP OF THE SEASON !!!

That face is ready for business !!! Jeremiah will be going w/ me on my 2nd trip to Africa !!!

Emily is at every game and puts here time doing cartwheels for the crowd !!! Jeremiah is sharing his trophy w/ her !!!

Today was Emily's Kindergarten testing ... I can't believe she will be going to school next year !!!!

The best part will be that she gets to go w/ Daddy everyday ... I can't tell you how peaceful that is for me to know he is there !!! Maggie will follow soon !!! GO FRA !!!

This is a little late post, but my sweet Anna turned 18 and we had a surprise birthday party for her at the pottery place w/ all her favorite kids !!!

Mini Suzanne here ... I love my sweet GRACE ... she has a heart for orphans that is so big and I can't wait to see what God does in her life !!!

Our conference in IL brought us some amazing sisters !!! These women did a fabulous job HONORING  God and showing others how to SEE the orphans of the world ... LOVE YOU !!!

ICING ON THE CAKE ... This trip was so over due for the 4 of us ... We had a great time talking about  the impact we want for 147 to have on the orphan crisis, we laughed and ate a lot !!!

The panel discussion was very powerful ... It is important that believers come together and share what God is doing in our lives, so we can inspire others to follow the calling upon their life !!!

wwwhhhhheeeeewwww ... I feel caught up now !!!

Thanks so much for checking in on us and for praying !!!

LEAVING ON A JET PLANE ... FOR UGANDA !!!

Ok, so after I got my call saying I'M GOING TO UGANDA this morning I got to skype w/ Joseph and Daisy ... Can I just tell you that I am going to run in the gates of Amani and simply tackle my precious babies ... Their faces were beaming and their voices just simply melted my heart ... I PLAN TO LEAVE APRIL 2ND ... COURT IS THE 6TH ... DON'T STOP PRAYING !!!

You guys are amazing !!! All your sweet comments and encouragement has seriously put my giddiness over the top today !!! This is how I answer the phone now, "I"M GOING TO UGANDA, I'M GOING TO UGANDA" ... Started packing (got the pop tarts today for Auntie Mary in Uganda), used up all the minutes on my phone, celebrated my hubby's 40th birthday (YEAH FOR MY HONEY),  and simply stopped every minute to THANK THE LORD for my phone call !!! I could not make it one day without Him and His might power, love, and strength ...

4 May he give you the desire of your heart
and make all your plans succeed.

5 We will shout for joy when you are victorious
and will lift up our banners in the name of our God.
May the LORD grant all your requests.

 6 Now I know that the LORD saves his anointed;
he answers him from his holy heaven
with the saving power of his right hand.

7 Some trust in chariots and some in horses,
but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.

8 They are brought to their knees and fall,
but we rise up and stand firm.

I LOVE YOU ALL AND FEEL BLESSED YOU CARE ENOUGH TO CHECK IN ON OUR CRAZY LIFE AND PRAY FOR MY FAMILY !!!

I AM GOING TO UGANDA !!!!

COURT DATE ... WILL BE HEADING TO UGANDA AT THE END OF THIS MONTH ...

When I say my heart is leaping out of my chest and I can barely focus on the next second that is a huge understatement !!!! God is moving and melting mountains ... I am sure I will have more to share later today, but at this moment I am about to jump out of myself I am so happy !!! The thought of hugging and kissing my kids is beyond a dream !!!

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH  !!!!!!!

My JOY turns 8 today ... Happy Birthday Elijah !!!

Each of my children have a symbol that I have given them that always reminds me of the beauty God created in them ... Jeremiah is my heart, Elijah is my joy, Emily is my light, Maggie is my hope, Joseph is my strength, and Daisy is my peace ...

My "JOY" Elijah turns 8 today and he completely brings us all JOY w/ his smile, his zest for life and the fact that he can take the simplest act and turn it into an over the top of the moon experience ... When he smiles I simply melt and feel such honor to be his mother ... He never lacks for questions ... Mom can a rocket go faster than our car, what if a dinosour ate our house, is dad bigger than superman, would you rather eat a spider or eat boogers, mom, can the world's biggest man step on the world's smallest man, do you think God can lift the world in his hand, do you think cheetahs are faster than rabbits, and the list goes on and on each day ... HOW DOES HE THINK OF SO MANY THINGS TO ASK ???

I pray Lord that you would continue to draw Elijah closer to you and show Him your greatness and love!
