I am going to take a week off the computer ... God is tugging at my heart right now and there are some things I really need to focus on and pray about ...

Please continue to pray for the Chapman Family ... This family of faith, love, and compassion is hurting ...

We are up to 43 Writers for the book ... I ask you all to pray for this project ... God is changing things in my heart the last few days about the book and the direction He would have me to go ... I just know the Lord has plans for your stories and the people they are to reach, so please take your time writing and pray over your story ... Pass my email along to anyone else you may think would like to contribute their story ...

Love You All ... Give your family a hug today and tell them you love them !!!

Many of you have emailed, phone, or texted what can we do ... I am asking everyone to pray for the Chapman family and their extended family ... Ask your church to pray, find a scripture and pray it to the Lord for them ... We always need to stand in the gap and pray for our brothers and sister in Christ ... We must not stop ...

1. Great weekend w/ the Beckerings ... Still in a chocolate coma from their trip (don't listen to them, it is all their fault) ... Hee Hee

2. Jeremiah/Elijah have 3 days of school left and there are a lot of emotions right now w/ Jeremiah leaving his school ... Please pray for us ...

3. Jeremiah is playing baseball and he always amazes me w/his athletic gifts and his sweet heart... I see him w/his school friends and I am sad for him to be leaving them ...

4. Elijah will be swimming this summer for the first time on a swim team ... He has been so helpful lately and watching him grow up is just a JOY and makes me so proud of him.

5. The girls are doing so good and loving the warm weather ...

6. We have had another change in Maggie's surgeries ... Please pray we can work out all this insurance stuff .... It is so complicated ... She may begin surgery early July ...

7. Please pray for the book ... I have a few stories in and feel God preparing me for what the book will do ... Please feel free to do a post on your blog about the book ... I have 40 writers right now ... Domestic and International adoptions all represented ... It is amazing the people I am meeting .... Thanks to everyone who have participated

8. Nana is back in hospital w/staf infection ... Please pray for her ...

1. Nana (Scott's grandmother) was taken to the hospital today and immediately sent to Vanderbilt for surgery on her heart ... I can't explain to you what this woman means to our family... She is a prayer warrior, she is loving, she is THERE for everything, she is the one person who ALWAYS tells the truth ... She is our ROCK ... We love her so much and at 83 she has more spunk than most people I know ...

2. I have a sister (in my spirit) who received some very confusing adoption information today that has rocked her families world ...

3. China and the devastation of the earthquake ... A piece of my heart will always be in this beautiful country where my daughters were born ...

4. THE BOOK ... I have over 40 writers for this project and invite more ... I can't tell you what reading the stories I already have has done to me in my spirit ... WOW ...

5. The Ivey family ... They just visited there two sweet children in Haiti and had to return home ... They have at least another 6-12 months before they will be home ... My heart prays for them..

6. The Doctor family (my travel family to get Emily) ... They are embarking on their second adoption ... I have been praying for over year for this amazing news ... Nikki is one gifted and talented soul ... She writes amazing things and loves so deeply ... I pray their second child home!

7. Another blog family waiting, waiting on domestic news ... Her emails just break my heart ... She is so ready to be this incredible mother to her child ... Sweet sister it will happen at just the right time !!!

8. Tina ... Her prison ministry ... The hope and love she brings to those women is truly heaven sent ...

9. Hoffman's ... I just love this family ... I love reading about them and hearing their heart ... They will be traveling soon to bring a daughter home from Ethiopia and also from China ... Their generation is going to make God smile so much !!!

10. For all the amazing families waiting to bring home the children they love so deeply in their hearts ... I pray for you each day and thank you for sharing so much of your life w/ so many of us .... Your faith and hope shine through !!!

To Scott, I pray for you everyday and I love our life and the journey we are on ... God has so much more to teach us and so many more blessings to give us ... I love doing life w/ you and since I was 14 you have had my heart and will till the end of time ... I love YOU !!!

To Jeremiah, Elijah, Emily, and Maggie ... The privildege of being your mother is the richest part of my life ... I will always stand in the gap for you and I will never leave your side ... I love you more than the air I breathe ...

To Joseph and Abagail ... On this Mother's Day I pray for you and I pray when the time is right that the Lord will send me to your arms and until them I know my Father will love you and care for you far better than I ever could ...

To the mother's in my life ... You each have shaped me over the years and I appreciate your love and support ... I get much of my strength from your love, wisdom, and kindness ... So glad you are in my crazy fabulous life ...

I wasn't sure I was going to post this, but I think I have gotten all the emotions figured out and see how amazing God is to teach me so much in such a short, small moment ...

We have a pool in our back yard ... We don't get to take many vacations for financial reasons and because Scott usually has basketball all summer, so we invested in an awesome pool.... Our summers are filled w/ wonderful days and nights by the pool usually w/ friends and family ... We cook out, start a bonfire, sit around and just enjoy being together ...

Since Maggie has been introduced to the pool she has loved every minute ... She has such a pure enjoyment from it and her smile is so real and viberant when she is playing in there w/her brothers and sister ... She wears a vest (thanks to Lil, who left it from the reunion) and floaties ... She feels so free and goes from shallow to deep end all by herself ... Well Sunday they were all playing for quite a while, now mind you I haven't even put my toe in because I know it is freezing in there by the blue lips all my children have ... After much fun they all got out ... Emily went to play and the boys were jumping on the trampoline ... Maggie was in the chair beside me, when I got a phone call ... I was talking on the phone when I heard a splash ... I turned to look and time stood still ... Maggie had fallen in the deep end and was beyond panicked w/no vest or floaties ... She was coming up some and then going under ... I jumped in and fished her out ... We just sat in the rocker for 30 minutes and I prayed ... I spoked into her ear a whisper of "mommy has got you" "mommy has got you" ... She didn't move just rested her wet body on my chest and hugged me ...

I thanked the Lord for having me there, I thanked Him that I heard the splash, I thanked Him and thanked Him ... It was such a spiritual moment also ... It was a moment when Maggie was in trouble, panicked, and hurting and I saved her ... I WAS THERE FOR HER ... It was a bonding experience I can not describe in words ... I felt her love for me grow on Sunday and I know my love for her grows everyday, but it was such a moment ...

I love being a mother more than anything ... I am thankful to Scott for providing and supporting me staying at home to be here for our family ... No amount of money in the world would have me trading jobs/adventures/calling/journey that I am on as a mother ...

My sweet friends Jamie and Aaron Ivey are visiting their two children in Haiti while on a mission trip ... You see they are in the process of adopting two precious children from a rescue house in Haiti ... Jamie has gone before, but this is Aaron's first trip and a mission trip also w/a team of people ... If you are not ready for some honesty and hard reading don't visit right now ... Aaron's heart has been changed forever by what he has seen ... I try everyday to be reminded of the orphans of the world as most of you do and we can not grow weary in our prayers for them ...

I read the book by Tom Davis called Red Letters "living a faith that bleeds" and it has changed my prayer life ... This is site w/an awesome video challenging us all to get involved and to act out the words we read in the bible ... GREAT STUFF ...

I am having a moment ... I am having a ache in my heart ... I am having a talk w/the Lord ... I am waiting on Him ... I am praying for you all ... I am asking for prayer ... I am thankful for a Savior, who knows me like no human person can ... I am praying for the orphans of the world and asking us all to open our hearts, minds, souls, and mouths for those who can't speak for themselves ...
