Blessed Beyond ...
My sweet girl told me the other day with no prompting "I lufa you." I think we have turned a corner here and I just know that God has used you all to keep my heart full and focused. Taking each day at a time with Maggie made the journey so sweet. On the hard days, I just prayed Lord help me get through this day. On the sweet days, I said Lord let me catch every blessing ...
Maggie loves her home and feels so safe. I am leaving her home w/Scott more now to run errands or whatever and she is doing fabulous. She is understanding who we are ... To see her run to Scott when he comes home from work just makes my heart leap out of my chest ... Her brothers and sister adore her (even when she scratches and bites ...still working on that) ... They don't shun her, but try to teach her to be soft ... I am so proud of how they are loving their sister ...
We are healing here and it feels good. God has made us stronger because we were so weak... He gets all the glory...I love you all and when I say you have helped me through this I mean it ...
P.S. Thank you Verna for my new look .. What a selfless and sweet friend you are ... Praying for smooth adjustment for Noah ...
P.S.S. Check out the top icon on my sidebar ... Becky has set us up a great Adoption Fundraiser Blog ... Check it out and buy all your gifts there ...My honey got me the Africa Necklace for V-day from the Junk Posse site ... It is beyond fabulous ... Let's support bringing children home to their forever families and give a gift that will bring blessings forever !!!!

My Head Is Full, So I Will Empyt It ...
This picture has nothing to do with the post, but you all get angry when there aren't any pictures ... hee hee hee
OK, first of all no jokes on the title ...
1. A quote from the book Denise sent me, "The comfort of a friend is priceless ...Girlfriends are one of God's sweetest gifts." (not to leave Mr. Brian out because He is considered one of us) THANKS DENISE FOR MY SWEET GIFTS ...
2. Not sure if anyone remembers, but I ask for prayer for a an unspoken way back in China and we feel like God is answering our prayers ... We have been wondering in the desert on this issue for months now and feel thankful that it is finally being resolved ... Please keep praying and I will share more when I can ...
3. I think I forgot to do a tag awhile back about 7 things about myself you might not know (I am a proactive user (love the stuff), I was voted most athletic ib my senior class and no I wasn't a cheerleader even though people assume w/my big mouth that I was, I married my high school sweetheart and moved to California - been married 17 yrs now, I wanted to be an actress at one point and took lessons - big joke, I love college basketball on TV, My favorite show is Biggest Loser - can't get enough of Jillian (she pumps me up for my workouts), I am bear if I don't get a workout in 6 days a week - no comments because I big eater) ...
4. JESUS CALLING ... the last week or so has been on finding peace .. I feel like at times that can look very differently ... Because peace w/Christ isn't always peace in your life ... That has been a great realization ... I feel so peaceful in my walk, in Christ's will for my life, and for His direction to our family, but that doesn't mean an easy road and I am learning that following Him makes all the difference in my life ... I desire Him, I adore what He adores, and I feel His presence w/ me daily ... (now honestly, the whole love your enemy thing keeps me stumped and I am working on that one ...) BUT I FEEL PEACEFUL IN THE LORD ...
5. My excitement for Verna right now is so off the charts ... My sweet friend has her little boy and just causes me to pray for all my sweet waiting mothers ... You are so brave, courageous, and an inspiration to me ... I pray for you all !!!! I pray even more for what I call my HIT LIST ... It is my list of people who say they have thought or prayed about adopting ... I now pray that God lays that burden on your heart so heavy that you begin the process ... Scott named it the Hit List after we came home from China with Emily and so many people would tell us they have prayed about adopting ... don't' want to start a controversy here, but if God has laid it on your heart and we know it is very important to Him then please consider this as a way to grow your family and I promise it will change your life like no other decision out there ...
6. I am seriously thinking about planning a blogger 1st time reunion ... I may make it connect to my China family reunion so those that are interested can do both ... I am thinking about 4th July 2009 ... Stay tune for more details ...
7. Please keep praying for my niece Savannah Hope ...
Thanks is it for now ... Love You All ...

THEY'RE HERE !!!!
Trying not to rub it in ... But it has been a fabulous day with Emmie, Steffie, and Sophia ... No pictures yet, but what blessing ...
Try Not To Be Jealous !!
Try Not To Be Jealous !!
YOU KNOW YOU ARE AN ADOPTIVE PARENT OR SHOULD BE WHEN...
1. The fact that there are 143 million children without a parent to kiss them goodnight has made you lose sleep.
2. You realize DNA has nothing to do with love and family.
3. You can't watch Adoption Stories on TLC without sobbing.
4. The fact that, if 7% of Christians adopted 1 child there would be no orphans in the world, is convicting to you.
5. You spend free time surfing blogs about families who have experienced the blessing of adoption.
6. It drives you crazy when people ask you about adopted child's "real" parents.
7. You have ever been "pregnant" with your adoptive child longer than it takes an elephant to give birth.(2 years!)
8. You had no idea how you would afford to adopt but stepped out in faith anyway, knowing where God calls you He will provide.
9. You have ever taken an airplane ride half-way around the world with a child you just met.
10. You believe God's heart is for adoption.
11. You realize that welcoming a child into your heart and family is one of the most important legacies you could ever leave on this earth.
12. You know what the word "Dossier" means, and you can actually pronounce it!
13. You have welcomed a social worker into the most private parts of your life.
14. You shudder when people say your child is so lucky that you adopted them, knowing full well you are the blessed one to have him or her in your life.

UPDATE FROM RAINY TN
MAGGIE UPDATE ... WE WILL GOING FOR BLOOD WORK AND TB TEST TOMORROW ... HER CHEST X-RAY WAS NORMAL ... SHE IS SLEEPING OK, BUT CAN'T GET THIS STRONG WILLED CHILD TO BED BEFORE 11:30 (PERHAPS LILY AND HER ARE SISTERS ...LOL) ...
Fun time with Lydia Chapman last week ... I can't believe I am posting this picture w/me in it ... Still in PJs ... lol ... Don't you love Emily's panty shot ... Her smile makes my day ... Emily is my LIGHT ...and yes, Mags is in about 3 swimsuits again ...

You know what they say ... A family that works out together, gets more laughs ... Jeremiah and I try to do our sit ups together each night and the other three have decided to join in ... HILARIOUS ...

This is Elijah's first year to play basketball ... He makes everything fun ... The smile on the his face as he runs down the court looking at me is priceless ... I am so proud of how he is doing ... He has informed us he wants to try swim team next ...He is my JOY ...

Can you believe he is only 9 (3rd grade) ... My Jeremiah has changed me forever ... I will never forget the first time I ever saw him, I was instantly changed ... He has the kindest heart and can he ever play basketball ... You might want to get his autograph right now ... LOL ... His little team that is made up of 3rd/4th grade boys has never been beaten by a team their own age ...I need to brag a minute ... He scored 18 points on Saturday (2 threes) ... He is my HEART ...

My little stinker wouldn't smile for the camera, but I promised Kim a picture of this adorable dress she sent Maggie ... We were a huge hit at church ...Maggie is my HOPE ..

OK, so did everyone get the symbols of the kids (heart, joy, light, and hope) ... As I pray about our future and how God will add to our family He has brought to me that Joseph will be my STRENGTH and Abagail will be my PEACE ... Just thought I would share that with you all ... And no we have no plans on a next adoption ... We are focused on helping Maggie settle in and her surgeries, but we are praying for these two children each day ...
Please Pray for Crystal (my SIL) as we wait for the paper for Savannah-Hope ... Pray for Verna's travel and sweet Noah ...
Last but certainly not least ... Over the last month I have had two friends who have received nasty comments on their blog, so I have to say, "We create blogs to find kindred spirits, to stay in touch with friends/family, and journey along life with people ... If you are not one of those people please do not stop by ...Your life must be empty and perhaps we should add you to our prayer list, because I have found the most amazing people here and staying connected to my China family is of the utmost importance to me and your opinion and mean words are not needed."
LOVE YOU ALL !!!

A PRICELESS GIFT !!!
What a surprise that came today ... Yolanda was coming by for a visit today and she brought me the most precious, priceless gift ... Jim (aka my adopted brother), who is beyond talented, painted me the most amazing scene of an angel peaking through the bamboo trees in China watching over my two baskets ... The baskets that held my precious Emily and Maggie till I came ... I just bawled when she showed it to me ... Jim can capture the spirit of emotions better than anyone I have ever met ... Hoping the picture on the blog does it justice ... I have found a place in my living room so that each time I pass it I will be blessed and happy knowing my two blessings are home ... Jim, I love you and am thankful God brought your family into our lives ... I will never forget the day I was walking through the parking lot at church pregnant with Elijah and you told me my daughter was in China ... LOVE YA!
Jim is the artist for the "Shoay and Dot" books by MaryBeth Chapman ... If you don't have one you should get one for your little one... The art work just brings alive the story ...
UPDATE ... Sleep is better ... Mags wakes about twice a night, but no tantrums in over a week ... Keep the prayers coming ...
